[Backpackers Remaja Berkopiah Jepun]

Selesai sesi Istitabah di Jab. Mufti Sgor, saya terserempak dengan dua lelaki berpakaian tradisional Jepun dan berkopiah dengan beberapa beg mereka mengangkat ibujari di tepi jalan Masjid Shah Alam. Saya memberhentikan kereta dan bertanya apa yang saya boleh bantu? Mereka nak ke stesen KTM Shah Alam dan saya bertanya lanjut mereka nak naik komuter ke mana? Jawabnya nak ke KL Sentral. Saya tawarkan untuk bawa mereka ke sana walaupun saya sendiri perlu ke Yong Peng Johor.

Saya memperkenalkan diri dan mereka memperkenalkan diri. Seorang bernama Tada (kacukan Jepun & Filipina) & seorang lagi ialah Mine (sebutan Min Meh) yang lebih cerah orangnya. Kedua-duanya adalah rakan baik dan baru berusia 20 tahun tetapi mengembara ke Msia, Thailand, Singapura & Indonesia dengan bajet USD800 untuk semua perbelanjaan selama 10 hari. Mereka belum Muslim lagi dan mereka juga memakai kopiah yang baru dibeli ketika melawat Masjid Shah Alam. Soalan pertama yang ditanya mereka kepada saya agak pelik;

"Thanks you for helping us. Why you willing to help us when we have wave for 15 minutes but nobody stop but only you willing to stop. IS IT BECAUSE YOU ARE MUSLIM?"

Terkejut saya dengan soalan mereka namun saya menjawab;

"Islam teach its followers to treat their guest well and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) also said that whosoever lift a difficulty and facilitate the affairs of his brothers in this world, Allah will lift his difficulty & make his affairs in the hereafter easier."

Dipendekkan cerita, dalam perjalanan kami berborak tentang latar belakang dan juga beliau bertanya kenapa saya memilih Islam serta konsep akhirat dalam Islam. Saya menawarkan untuk belanja mereka lunch memandangkan mereka juga belum makan dan akhirnya saya membawa mereka ke Dapur Sarawak untuk menikmati hidangan Malaysia memandangkan mereka dan merasai sate, nasi lemak dan teh tarik.

Banyak soalan tentang Islam yang ditanya terutamanya dari Tada yang lebih fasih berbahasa Inggeris malahan mereka mahu belajar berwuduk dan solat dan respon mereka apabila saya tanya tentang perasaan mereka setelah solat dan sujud, mereka menjawab;

"I never feel like this before. Very peaceful. Very calm, feel very humble and close to God."

Setiap pertemuan pasti akan ada perpisahan. Kami menghadiahkan senaskah Quran, MP3 Quran, minyak attar dari Mekah serta kain sarung yang kami pinjamkan kepada mereka untuk belajar solat kerana mereka merasa selesa dan mudah untuk dipakai. Sebelum berpisah; Tada berkata kepada saya;

"We never expect to meet you on our last day in Msia. We do not know how to repay or thank you but we really enjoy our short moment together. We love you and your friends here, we love Malaysian for their kindness and we love Allah. Next time when I see someone in need of help, I will remember your advice to spread love and kindness to others. We love you brother."

Semoga mereka terus mencari kebenaran dan dikurniakan hidayah oleh Allah SWT...

【少見的大馬背包客？！】
前天碰到一個英國人
當他知道我是馬來西亞人的時候
露出驚訝的表情說

「I have traveling for a long time, but this is my first time to meet Malaysian!」

今天我碰上了越南背包客
隨後又認識了兩個印尼背包客
我也是同樣的反應說

「I never meet Vietnam and Indonesian backpackers before!!」

越南背包客告訴我
世界各地其實都有越南背包客的
只是他們比較少住dorm或gh
也鮮少主動與人溝通

我想馬來西亞的背包客也是同樣狀況

據我所知
馬來西亞流浪在外的背包客不少
但說實在的我也鮮少遇到同鄉人
除了一大堆在紐西蘭打工度假的以外

我想一方面是大馬人鮮少住dorm
一方面大馬人確實比較少主動去認識別國的背包客吧！

好多人都是結伴自助旅行多一些
一般整趟旅程都侷限在自己的小團體裡面
頂多遇到同鄉人、台灣人會打個招呼僅此而已

現在很多韓國人也是這種狀況
畢竟現在韓國散客背包客真的遍佈全球
好多旅遊景點都聽得到Annyeonghaseyo
他們也常結伴旅行，而且隨時可以拼湊成一個大團體

他們的勢力可說是僅次於中國大陸啊

說起來，今天也滿有趣的
除了印尼、越南背包客以外
還遇到了跟我一樣曾到紐西蘭打工度假的外國人

一個美國人
兩個英國人
還真是有緣啊！

今天還真的認識了很多有趣而巧合的新朋友。離開中國大陸以後，遇到的人也越來越國際化了，好久沒有返回英文圈了啊...

可以的話
大家也多打開自己去認識別人吧！
讓大家知道馬來西亞其實也有很多背包客遍佈全球的！

然後順便把馬來西亞的好介紹給別人啊啊啊！（這次碰上的人好多都沒有計劃到馬來西亞，真令人難過，但我也有努力做好國民外交，希望有更多人能更認識馬來西亞！）

Day 6 in India and seeing the beautiful Taj Mahal from a rare view not many people see.

The Taj Mahal, also known as the pearl of India and probably the most iconic monument in the country was the first stop on our bucket list when we arrived in Agra.

I was so excited to get the chance to visit this legendary site as I'd researched so much about the Taj Mahal for a previous project of mine a few years back. It was quite surreal to be able to see it in real life as it's definitely been on my bucket list for a while.

The morning starts super early, in the middle of the highway from Varanasi to Agra. We stopped by the side of the highway for a quick breakfast of pretty much just cay, Indian tea.

The journey between cities was 14 hours and there were 14 of us cramped into one travel van... people, bags, gear and production equipment all sardined into one very confined space. Not the most comfortable of journeys but the company made up for it by being extra fun and keeping the journey very interesting.

We finally arrive in Agra and freshen up which felt like a slice of heaven after being smothered up together. We also were in dire need of food so some of the team and I went to eat. Arif was not well at all with a fever and an upset stomach. and Bella was down with the flu while also dealing with her cow accident from the day before.

So with half the team down, the rest of us went to find food... KFC!
I. Was. Not. Happy. About this AT ALL.
But I was out numbered so I didn't have much of a choice. Didn't vlog the experience because... NO. hehe. #FitnessLife

But I won't lie. I did feeling much much better with food in my stomach.

I was also very excited for what was coming next!
A visit to the Taj Mahal.

Hidayat knows India very well, so he promised to take us to see a view of the Taj Mahal not everyone gets to experience.

Again, most of the team was too tired to come out with us so Syahid, Hidayat and I went together. We met up with the rest of the guys when we got there as well, so it was a pretty decent group of us.

Hidayat definitely delivered on the view. We saw the Taj from the back, from the banks of the Yamuna River. The river was pretty dirty... well... actually, it was absolutely drowning in rubbish. Quite a pity because the view was stunning. But still, it didn't take away from the magnificence of the Taj Mahal.

After an hour or two long photo session, we went to get some ice-creams. A great way to end a day of very healthy eating. lol.

Once I got back to the hotel, I ended the vlog.
Needed an early night. The next day, we spent more time exploring Agra.
