Peranakan food the other night at @thebluegingerrestaurant! My favourite was the ngo heong and sautéed tiger prawns w black pepper and dark soya sauce😛 They have private rooms for birthday parties and family gatherings, also ideal for small solemnization ceremonies & wedding banquets! Probably the best Peranakan food I’ve ever had so far!
My TOP few dishes are the Ngo Heong, Prawns in pineapple gravy, Assam fish and a happy ending - Durian Chendol!
Definitely not too heavy for lunch as their dishes are not too overly flavoured and not so oily!
I’m impressed with the restaurant’s ambience and its modern Peranakan decorations!
There are private rooms for birthday parties & gatherings! If you would like to have a Peranakan themed wedding or solemnisation ceremony, I think it will be perfect to hold it here!
