6 years ago I was working at F1 as a waiter at the paddock club. I was on my break sippin on 7up when she came up to me and asked. "Hey young man..what do you want to do in life?"

I replied : "Well....showbiz...I wanna be a host of some kind"

She said: "well what are you waiting for? Go ahead and do it"

I said : "I'm a street kid ma'am...no education"

Optimistically, she replied "well mendaki has many grants and services to help people like you! You should try it!"

She then proceeded to list down the possible routes I could take in achieving what I wanted.

6 years later...hosting an SG50 event for Jetstar..I come up to her and said "Hi ma'am!"

She looks at me...smiles..and says "I'm proud of you"

Thank you Elim Chew! You have always looked out for our community and the less privileged!
