練樂器之餘，大量聽不同音樂的曲目、風格更是重要，了解越多能做的事就越多。職業音樂家是一項需要大量智識與演奏實力相輔相成的專業技能，兩者皆純熟所耗費的時間與精力就更難以想像！音樂不只有演奏，不只有樂團人員與教職，更有音樂藝術研究員、教育系統開發、應用音樂、樂器維修與製作、電影廣告配樂、專業藝術行政、音響工程師、配唱、音樂製作人、編曲等等。

Besides of playing instrument, we have to listen to an amount of music with different genre and style. This is very important! What we know more about it, what we can do more.

Professional musician is a very specialized job who needs a lot of intellectual knowledges and the ability of performance. This is what we called Professional. If we want to perfection both of these skills, the time we spend is very difficult to imagine.

Music is not just for playing, not only have the orchestra members or the teachers. But also the researcher of music & art, the developement of educational system, applied music, the repair and production of instruments, movie advertising soundtrack, professional art administration, sound engineer, vocal & music producer, music arrangement, etc.
