Something caught my eyes that many folks wouldn’t have noticed about the royal wedding today. I’ve seen a lot of websites call Cressida Bonas’s (Prince Harry’s ex and a guest at the wedding) dress a rainbow, bohemian, or Aztec print dress. Well, it’s not. It was designed by Eponine London and is described as a tribal dress from northern Thailand.

The reality is that it is a Hmong dress from northern Thailand. The combination of the patterns, colors, embroidery, material, and hanging trinkets is distinctly Hmong. I am sure Eponine London chose the material from Hmong markets in Thailand and then sewed the dress together, and I’m glad Cressida wore it and pulled it off so well, but let’s call it what it is: a Hmong dress.
