美國槍械製造公司庫柏精準（Culper Precision）近日推出一款不論是外表、用色或造型，都與樂高極其相似的「Block19」格洛克手槍。

消息一出，美國反非法槍枝市長協會（Everytown for Gun Safety）的香濃‧瓦茲（Shannon Watts）立刻聯繫了樂高官方，樂高公司隨即寫信要求庫柏精準公司停止生產這種危險的武器。

擔憂將槍枝童趣化可能會勾起更多年輕人的購買意願，瓦茲在她的推特上寫道：「這是非常不負責任且危險的產品，即使槍枝看起來不像玩具，孩子們還是會想用它。」她也擔心這種看起來像玩具的槍，會使槍械更容易被攜入校園。

對此庫柏精準公司也發聲明表示：「這是為了讓跟我們一樣喜愛射擊活動的客戶們，能享受射擊運動帶來的樂趣與滿足感。」為了讓客戶有更多元的選擇，他們希望能替熱愛射擊遊戲的人提供合法、合適的客製化商品。

庫柏精準也在聲明中提及，「本公司嚴正反對在未授權的情況下、將槍枝提供給青少年與其他違法持有槍械的人，」他們認為透過正當管道獲得槍枝，再搭配正確的射擊練習，才能讓使用者真正體會到這項活動的樂趣。

然而對於兒童槍擊事件的受害者家屬來說，這個產品既不妥當也不有趣。

在與律師團商議後，庫柏精準的總裁布蘭登‧斯科特（Brandon Scott）決定按照樂高公司的要求，將這款Block19格洛克手槍下架。

美國法律雖明文規定不能製造與真槍完全相似的兒童玩具，但也未完全禁止製造商生產「長得像玩具的真槍」。

瓦茲在推特上表示：「過去一年內，國內與兒童有關的槍擊案件成長了30%，」並指出光是2021年就已發生超過165起與兒童有關的槍擊意外。
