Do you constantly feel as though you have no control over situations or that others are out to get you? Or do you feel as though bad things keep happening to you no matter what you do? If you find yourself blaming others for events or situations in your life, you may be struggling with what is known as “victim-mentality”.
In addition, you may take things personally even when they are not directed at you. Thoughts like “What did I do to deserve this?” and being resentful a lot of the time is quite common too.
This could have been a result of a wrong time in your life or experienced trauma, but you had no coping strategies at the time and developed this opposing viewpoint or victim mindset. This led you to believe that life happens to you and that you have no responsibility in your life.
If you feel that way, don't worry — I've been there too in the past, and you are capable of shifting yourself to become the “victor” rather than the “victim” in all situations. Read through to understand the “victim-mentality.”

🌻 Every flower blooms in its own time. And each growth phases varies with each other, but they don't compete; they just bloom. We don't like imperfect starts or slow progress, and we crave instant change. Sometimes, we want to know all the options waiting for us in future — spending time overthinking about the finish line. And while doing that, we forget to live in the present.
All plants grow through the dirt, and so do we. The best things grow little by little over time. Some of your decisions might be life-altering, perhaps in the wrong way, but that doesn't stall your growth. You are growing every single day with every decision you make. You are wiser than you were yesterday, and that is a sign of growth. 🌱
Fast growth doesn't last. There is no shortcut to “success”.

Most of the time, you are not aware of your growth because you are looking at it from a 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗺'𝘀 𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄. Try looking at it from a 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱'𝘀 𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄. Look at your childhood dreams, your teenage lifestyle and who you were five years ago. Are you the same person?
I bet on “No”.
You don't need to run someone else's race; you blossom in your own time. It will happen. When you are ready, at your own pace, you will bloom.

Sleep stages are important because they allow the brain and body to recuperate and develop. Failure to obtain enough of both deep sleep and REM sleep may explain some of the profound consequences of insufficient sleep on thinking, emotions, and physical health. Sleepers who are frequently awoken during earlier stages, such as sleep apnea, may struggle to cycle into these deeper sleep stages properly. People with insomnia may not get enough total sleep to accumulate the needed time in each stage.
While you don’t have complete control of your sleep cycle, you can take steps to improve your chances of having a healthy progression through each sleep stage.
A critical step is to improve your sleep hygiene, which refers to your sleep environment (mattress, pillow etc.) and sleep-related habits. :

🌻 More consistent sleep schedule
🌻 Getting natural daylight exposure
🌻 Avoiding alcohol before bedtime
🌻 Sleep before midnight to feel rested and refreshed
🌻 Eliminating noise and light disruptions (silk sleep mask)
🌻 Switch to pillows that suit your sleep style
Minor changes can help you get uninterrupted sleep and promote proper alignment of your circadian rhythm.
If you find that you have excessive daytime sleepiness or otherwise suspect that you might have a sleep disorder like sleep apnea, it’s essential to talk with a doctor who can most appropriately guide your care. Addressing underlying issues may pave the way for more complete and restorative sleep cycles.
