If think you know your body, think twice. Especially during pregnancy, it’s always full of surprises. Everything tend to be more fragile when you are pregnant. Lesson learnt. This forced me to take things real slow and be extra gentle on myself, especially during these period of time. Because at the end of the day, what’s important is to keep the little one healthy and safe ❤️

Thank you everyone for the kind words, I can’t reply all the DMs one by one. So here it is. The reason why I admitted to the hospital is because of the my Sacroiliac joint pain, I feel sharp pain at one side of the back of my hip and I can’t move and walk at all. There is many reason that causes this, it might due to bad sleeping posture, adding weight pressure or previous injury etc. Especially during pregnancy, there’s a relaxing hormone that will causes our muscles and ligaments to relax, meaning that we are extra fragile when it comes to our daily activities. Doctor said I just need to rest more, as in, just sit and rest on bed for the inflammation to recover. It take times. Slowly but surely. But however, it’s a signal telling me that I should rest more and be well prepare for the baby, everything else can wait. We can do this 🥲❤️

Thank you so much for including me in #scmp in a recent #healthandwellness article about #handstand and its benefits. Those who know me know that I love going upside down and I sometimes joke that I can balance on my hands better than in a #treepose 😅
In fact, handstand according to yoga is called #adhomukhavrksasana or downward facing tree pose, meaning handstand is like a tree pose but upside down - the body should be aligned in a straight line. It’s a great pose to improve #corestrength, #focus and to #conqueryourfears , not to mention to keep you youthful.
It is a privilege to share my passion in class but it’s also great to share it on other media. Please check out @steve.pilot from the same article who offers lots of tips on handstand.

第四波疫情下大家都會選擇家中健身, 市面上有不同種類的健身器材使用, 而腹輪是相對便宜和慳位的工具訓練腹肌, 是家中鍛練腹工具不二之選,而其中腹輪的訓練變化能偏向不同肌肉能參與動作 ,以下會同大家介紹兩個腹輪訓練的變化
📍脊椎帶動
屈曲脊椎 (脊椎前彎)帶動腹輪, 令腰部呈拱形弧度,脊椎屈曲動作能令腹直肌 俗稱六舊腹肌 的參與度上升, 但同時也需要脊椎需要一定的柔軟度才能掌握動作 ,以及腰背有傷患的學生不是太理想動作
📍肩膊帶動
此變化目的是把腹輪帶出及收入的時候, 下背腰保持中立位置, 當收回腹輪的時候,避免使屈曲脊椎帶動動作, 並感覺肩膊下壓(肩伸) 帶動動作, 腹部和臀部保持收緊 ,避免拗腰動作出現, 由於此變化中不需脊椎有任何屈曲動作,所以較為適合有腰背傷患的學員。另外,由於主導動作是肩伸, 所以背闊肌參與度也會增加

I would like to share two variations of abs wheel roll-out that everyone can try out at home , since abs rollout is a fairly advanced exercise, if you don’t have much experience in abs training , master some basics exercise such as plank , cat-cow to strengthen the mind-muscle connection prior to working on ab wheel
📍Driven by spine
Meaning that “curl the spine” in order to bring the wheel back to your body , this will involve in spinal flexion, which means superficial layer of abs will be engaged (rectus abdominis). However, for some trainee who have lower back injury such as flexion intolerance lower back pain , this maybe not be an ideal abs exercise, Also, it require some degree of motor control and mobility on lumber spine flexion in order to master the exercises
📍Driven by shoulder
The purpose of this variation is to keep the spine neutral through out the exercises and none of the spinal movement will be involved
, rather than “curl the spine”, this cueing of this exercise is to “bring the elbow to your back pocket “ while the spine and pelvic stays neutral . By bringing the elbow back , this will result in more back muscle engagement ( latissimus dorsi). Although this variation doesn’t’t work the superficial layer of abs like the former variation, but it’s a good modification for those who trains around with back pain

Exactly as of today as i upload this vlog. I have 25 days left. OMG!!!!!!
I finally registered myself for the competition Battle of the Freaks 2 happening 6th May at PJ Live Arts Theatre.
In this vlog, I explain a bit more on the competition i'm taking part in. I'm still very new to the bodybuilding industry and jargons, but from my understanding, there a number of different federations out there. Each has it's own categories and own set of rules.
For Battle of the Freaks, it is under NABBA-WFF. NABBA stands for National Amateur Body-Builder's Association and WFF is World Fitness Federation.
"NABBA and WFF are separate organisations but are affiliated. This provides additional benefits for members and competitors. Each Federation seeks a different 'look'. NABBA tends to cater for the more muscular physique and WFF favours a more athletic look. Both Federations attract a high level of male and female competitors at state, national and international level." - taken from nabba.com.au
I'll break it down simply there 3 categories for male and female. Tall And Short where you can join to try for your pro card and then there is the Novice Open category for those who have never competed before.
The judging involves the following
Round 1 - T Walk - whereby you have to hit 5 points on stage
Round 2 - Quarter Turns -
Round 3 - Quarter Turns - for muscularity
Hope this gives you a bit of insight on the comp that I'm taking part. So you see it's not all about looking ripped or lean on stage. Posing is a big criteria and how you look for your presentation including stage presence.

To add on to more complications. I didn't rest well this week, as you can tell in the vlog, while i may look fine at some points in the video, I was really trying to keep it together for the camera. Fighting off either a headache, a sorethroat and the beginnings of a flu.
I've learnt another lesson, when i'm at the beginning stage of getting sick, meaning with a sorethroat. Dont' be a smart ass and train. I did my usual training and then cardio on sat.. that just killed me on Sunday. Body completely said fudge it all. Even now i'm still recovering, but loads of water is helping out. I gotta say after 3 litres of water, my skin does feel better, but i also feel terribly weak.
