I remember unlike the other three of my dogs, when I first adopted Emma when she was 9 months old - it was like, SHE chose me.
Originally, she was not for me but another friend of mine...Up till today, I still remember I was out training Tyson (my first adopted GSD) for a few hours while my friend was at my house trying to build a relationship with Emma. Strangely after I got home, she followed my foot steps ever since...EVER SINCE. We even did multiple tests, where I completely don’t have/do anything - my friends got food, toys, whatever they had built within the hours - but NOPE - Emma only had her eyes ON ME. I was even deliberately /and spontaneously walking around the house, she just never left my side. 🥺
The ultimate test was me walking out my front door - Emma then starts to aggressively scratch the door and was crying. 😳😲
My mother whose had dogs for over 50 years said shes never seen anything like that. 😲 Honestly, me too!! Growing up with dogs, they were always a lot closer with my mum. I never had my “own” dog - a dog that slept with me, a dog that looked me in the eye deeply with bonding love, a dog that seems to read my mind.
...not until when Emma came into my life - all this changed.

6 years ago she chose me when I was not at my best and throughout the years I felt like she changed me as a person. 😊
As a fair responsible dog parent, I love all my babes equally. But there is just something about Emma that holds a special spot in my heart like no other...
或許我還真對Emma有小偏心，但是認識我的朋友都見識過她是如何對我的😛她的理解與陪伴也是無法取代的。
