2017 was a year of tears, injuries and overcoming obstacles. Right before the biggest competition of the season, I was told I might have torn my meniscus and PCL; after a month-long illness that prevented me from training all of July. I was lost.
My coach, Luis, inspired and pushed me to keep training, moving and improving. Seng Song was my rock as I worked towards being ready for the start line.
My Personal Best this year was more than just the time or medal, it was me realising I had everyone (and thing) I needed to be the best version of myself -so long as I had the courage to try.
