對出逃前的她而言，自由與溫飽是很奢侈的理念，更無法了解「愛」的全貌。當我們無法得知世界發生了什麼，無法想像那超越自身認知的世界，我們便無法真正地同理他人。今天我想邀請大家，以不同的角度，重新感受自由、溫飽與愛的可貴。

I was born in 1993 in the northern part of North Korea, in a town called Hyesan, which is on the border with China. I had loving parents and one older sister. Before I was even 10 years old, my father was sent to a labor camp for engaging in illegal trading. Now, by "illegal trading" -- he was selling clogs, sugar, rice and later copper to feed us. In 2007, my sister and I decided to escape. She was 16 years old, and I was 13 years old.

I need you to understand what the word "escape" means in the context of North Korea. We were all starving, and hunger means death in North Korea. So it was the only option for us. I didn't even understand the concept of escape, but I could see the lights from China at night, and I wondered if I go where the light is, I might be able to find a bowl of rice. It's not like we had a grand plan or maps. We did not know anything about what was going to happen. Imagine your apartment building caught fire. I mean, what would you do? Would you stay there to be burned, or would you jump off out of the window and see what happens? That's what we did. We jumped out of the house instead of the fire.

你們要知道，「逃跑」這兩字在北韓意味著什麼。我們天天挨餓，而飢餓在北韓意味著死亡。所以逃跑是我們唯一的選擇。我當時還不了解逃跑是什麼意思，但晚上我能看見中國那邊的燈光，我想著如果我能到有光的地方，也許就能找到一碗飯。我們沒有什麼遠大的計畫或地圖。我們完全不知道，接下來會發生什麼事。想像一下，你的公寓失火了，你會怎麼辦？你會坐以待斃，還是跳窗然後再看著辦？我們就是那樣。我們從大樓上跳了下來， 而不是等火燒上來。

North Korea is unimaginable. It's very hard for me when people ask me what it feels like to live there. To be honest, I tell you: you can't even imagine it. The words in any language can't describe, because it's a totally different planet, as you cannot imagine your life on Mars right now. For example, the word "love" has only one meaning: love for the Dear Leader. There's no concept of romantic love in North Korea. And if you don't know the words, that means you don't understand the concept, and therefore, you don't even realize that concept is even a possibility.

Let me give you another example. Growing up in North Korea, we truly believed that our Dear Leader is an almighty god who can even read my thoughts. I was even afraid to think in North Korea. We are told that he's starving for us, and he's working tirelessly for us, and my heart just broke for him. When I escaped to South Korea, people told me that he was actually a dictator, he had cars, many, many resorts, and he had an ultraluxurious life. And then I remember looking at a picture of him, realizing for the first time that he is the largest guy in the picture. And it hit me. Finally, I realized he wasn't starving. But I was never able to see that before, until someone told me that he was fat.

讓我再舉一個例子。在北韓長大，我們真心相信我們偉大的領袖是全能的神，他甚至能看穿我在想什麼。我在北韓甚至不敢思考。我們聽說他為我們挨餓、不眠不休地為我們工作，而我為此感到心痛。我逃到南韓後，有人跟我說他其實是獨裁者，他有很多車、很多很多渡假別墅，他的生活極為奢華。我記得自己看著一張有他的照片，第一次意識到他是照片裡體型最大的那個。這件事讓我大受打擊。那時我才終於了解，他沒有挨餓。但我以前總無法看清這些，直到有人跟我說他很胖，我才恍然大悟。

Really, someone had to teach me that he was fat. If you have never practiced critical thinking, then you simply see what you're told to see. The biggest question also people ask me is: "Why is there no revolution inside North Korea? Are we dumb? Why is there no revolution for 70 years of this oppression?" And I say: If you don't know you're a slave, if you don't know you're isolated or oppressed, how do you fight to be free? I mean, if you know you're isolated, that means you are not isolated. Not knowing is the true definition of isolation, and that's why I never knew I was isolated when I was in North Korea. I literally thought I was in the center of the universe.

So here is my idea worth spreading: a lot of people think humans inherently know what is right and wrong, the difference between justice and injustice, what we deserve and we don't deserve. I tell them: BS. Everything, everything must be taught, including compassion. If I see someone dying on the street right now, I will do anything to save that person. But when I was in North Korea, I saw people dying and dead on the streets. I felt nothing. Not because I'm a psychopath, but because I never learned the concept of compassion. Only, I felt compassion, empathy and sympathy in my heart after I learned the word "compassion" and the concept, and I feel them now.

我覺得值得分享的想法是：很多人以為，人類生來就能分辨是非對錯，懂得正義與邪惡的差別，我們值得被怎樣對待。我跟他們說：放屁。所有的事，所有的事都得經過教導，包含憐憫。如果我現在看見有人在路邊奄奄一息，我會不顧一切來救他。但我在北韓的時候，會眼睜睜看著有人橫死街頭，卻沒有任何感覺。並非因為我是心理病態，而是我從未學過憐憫的概念。只有在我的內心感受到憐憫、同理與同情，我才學會「憐憫」一詞與其概念，而如今我已能感受到這些。

And recently, the leader of the free country, our President Trump, met with my former god. And he decided human rights is not important enough to include in his agendas, and he did not talk about it. And it scares me. We live in a world right now where a dictator can be praised for executing his uncle, for killing his half brother, killing thousands of North Koreans. And that was worthy of praise. And also it made me think: perhaps we all need to be taught something new about freedom now. Freedom is fragile. I don't want to alarm you, but it is. It only took three generations to make North Korea into George Orwell's "1984." It took only three generations. If we don't fight for human rights for the people who are oppressed right now who don't have a voice, as free people here, who will fight for us when we are not free? Machines? Animals? I don't know.

最近，自由國度的領袖，我們的川普總統，和我以前的神會面。他認定，人權沒那麼重要，不需排進議程中，所以對此他隻字不提。這嚇壞我了。我們竟身在一個獨裁者處決伯父還能獲得讚揚的世界裡，他殺害同父異母的哥哥、殺害成千上萬的北韓人民，竟還能得到讚揚。這不禁使我開始思考，也許我們現在都要學習自由的新涵義。自由很脆弱。我不想嚇你，但事實如此。短短三個世代，就讓北韓淪為喬治．歐威爾筆下的《１９８４》。只花了三個世代。如果我們不為人權而戰，不為受壓迫、不為無法發聲的人而戰，當身為自由人的我們不自由時，誰還願意為我們而戰？機器嗎？動物嗎？我不知道。

I think it's wonderful that we care about climate change, animal rights, gender equality, all of these things. The fact that we care about animals' rights, that means that's how beautiful our heart is, that we care about someone who cannot speak for themselves. And North Koreans right now cannot speak for themselves. They don't have internet in the 21st century. We don't have electricity, and it is the darkest place on earth right now. Now I want to say something to my fellow North Koreans who are living in that darkness. They might not believe this, but I want to tell them that an alternative life is possible. Be free.

Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie 2020 part 2 / ＃2020世界盃麵包大賽決賽照片集錦part2 (English below)

最後一部份的照片來了！包括之前被迫撤下的台灣隊與國旗、作品的合照，以及最後一天賽事中的四隊隊伍的作品：中國（冠軍）、丹麥（季軍）、哥斯大黎加、埃及。

我為冠軍的作品特別多拍了幾張，讓大家可以看看細節的呈現。一定要知道得獎的作品與自己的實力差在哪裡，才有進步的空間。

過去幾天內收到許多留言與私訊，謝謝大家的鼓勵，我也已經將大家的心意轉給台灣隊，希望他們能夠再接再厲。此次也一路陪伴著選手的吳寶春師傅在搭機回台前特地和我說，他們 #一回台灣就會立刻召開教練團會議，#接下來會立刻改變訓練方向與策略，希望能再次證明台灣烘焙的實力。

另外我一定要在這裡澄清一點，我在這次比賽中做的所有報導全部都是忠實呈現在賽場上發生的事件。上一篇就算情緒高昂了一些，也只有寫出事實。評審做了什麼樣的判斷、有什麼樣的喜好我們不得而知。我沒有任何攻擊中國隊、煽動仇中的意思，也絕對沒有暗示中國隊不應該得冠軍、以及忽視對岸飛躍進步的實力。

我希望呈現的是，台灣隊在使用台灣的名字、以及在場上呈現自己與作品時所受到的不公正的待遇：

1. 所有官方網站與文件上寫的都是 Chine Taipei / China Taipei，即「#中國台北」，甚至在公佈決賽結果的網頁寫的是「Chine (Taipei)」，即「中國（台北）」）。僅在台灣隊參加比賽的當天現場改為「Chinese Taipei」（中華台北），但其他地方一切沒有更改。在此之前的每一屆賽事，台灣都是使用台灣的名字出賽。

2. 台灣是 #12個參賽隊伍中唯一一個不能攜帶國旗上台、#也不能講自己國家名稱的隊伍，選手接受訪問與發表作品時，都只能用「my home country / mon pays d'origine」，即「#我的家鄉」代替。

這和主辦單位的處理方式有關，所以我已經和黃偈（黃先生的甜點日記（Dessert diary） 一起在主辦方的文章下方留言：https://tinyurl.com/rvpyns7，我認為如果沒有得到足夠的關注，將來會有更多不公平的事情發生。我在法國生活多年的血淚史得到最大的教訓就是「 #遇到不公平的事一定要發聲，不然沒有人會理你」。

#我的初衷是希望選手跟教練能得到更多支持，#能夠安心比賽發揮自己的實力，如果因此被誤會為玻璃心、輸不起，或甚至認為因為這樣的發聲反而害台灣隊沒有得到好名次的話，只能說非常遺憾，我以後不會再用台灣人的感情去報導台灣的賽事，而僅會用專業記者與自媒體的角度和大家分享所見所聞。

希望這是最後一次針對這個比賽發表相關評論，之後會有更多甜點專業的消息和大家分享！

Last photos of the 2020 World Bakery Cup. Have a close look on the wonderful work of the last four teams (China, Denmark, Costa Rica, Egypt)!

I've chosen to shown more photos of the work from the Chinese team as they've won the championship and I guess everyone is curious about how it is like.

I would like to clarify one thing here that I've never wanted to attack the Chinese team or tried to hint that their work is not good enough to get won the 1st place. Everything that I've written is based on facts and what has happened during the contest. And I want to bring your attention to the regrettable event that there is a team that was not treated fairly:

1. Taiwan is marked as "Chine Taipei / China Taipei" (or even Chine (Taipei) / China (Taipei)) everywhere on the official website and printed materials of the competition,

2. Taiwan team WAS NOT ALLOWED to use and speak of its name. The candidates could only talk about "my home country / mon pays d'origine" to avoid mentioning TAIWAN, and

3. Taiwan team is the team that WAS NOT ALLOWED to bring its national flag to the competition and the award ceremony.

What I've learned from my experiences of living in France is that you have to speak up for yourself. Nothing is taken for granted. In my opinion, this event took place in a country with beliefs in liberté, égalité, and fraternité (freedom, equality, and fraternity) is a real irony.

I wish our candidates and coaches will get more support from whether within the island or internationally and get to stand out on the global stage where they only need to worry about if they're doing their best. If that intention is interpreted as a sore loser's mentality or is even taken as the origin of getting more unfair treatment which resulted in not getting the prize, I find it regrettable as well. From now on, I won't be reporting any international contests from the perspective as a Taiwanese, but from the perspective of a professional journalist.

I hope this is the last post that I share about this contest. I can't wait to share with you more exciting news of pastries and my future projects!

但是這個東西沒有讓他覺得自滿，但是由於他懂得
怎樣去跟這些名畫的交易商談價錢還有抬高價錢，
因此大部分的名畫都可以買到很好的價錢，
那大家都知道，我們想起畢加索，就會想起那些抽象畫，
而這些抽象畫才是他真正賺大錢的名畫。
在那個時候，從來沒有人做過這些超現實主義的畫，就是這種抽像畫
可以說是在創作裡面的一片藍海，但是要讓歐洲的畫商
還有收藏品的收藏家，接受那麽前衛的作品，
需要非常好的營銷還有編排，而他非常善於社交還有非常有商業頭腦，
成功的把這些非常前衛的抽象畫賣到了歐洲的貴族的手中，
大家看看這一幅畫，這幅叫【讀書】，畫的就是他的情人Walter，
在2011年倫敦拍賣裏面，成功以2520萬英鎊拍賣給一名俄羅斯的商人。
而且他是打電話來訂的。
畢加索一生裏面創作最少有37000副畫，在他死後留下來兩億美金的財產，
以通膨來計算，到現在為止大概價值100-200億美金，
當中還有幾萬副畫，還有一些別墅和雕像留給了他的後代。
那麼問題來了
為何梵高和畢加索，兩個都是畫畫的天才，
但是兩者的遭遇為什麼會不一樣呢？那梵高究竟做少的什麼東西呢？
1. 不善於社交還有公關，他鄙視那些販賣藝術品的商人，
覺得他們是在侮辱了藝術，就好像劉青雲講的一樣：
‘做人公關不好，食屎啦，沒公關，屎都沒得食’
2. 包裝和銷售
產品每一個都需要經過包裝，還有有一個銷售的技巧方能賣出
這些東西都是梵高沒有做到的
3. 情緒管理
就是因為他的之前愛情的問題。。。
啊～不是愛情啦～單戀的那些問題，所有他在情緒上沒有管理好
4.這個是最重要，他就是低估了自己藝術品的價值。
那麼我們把這些東西放在自己的身上，我們有時會覺得自己的價值不高，
覺得自己不值那個價錢，我應該只適合這些工作，或者是領這一些薪水。
那我來跟大家講一個例子，一罐在超市裡面的可樂，
和一罐在馬爾代夫度假村裡面的可樂是不是一樣的呢？
可樂的本質其實沒有改變過，在馬爾代夫的可樂其實還是可樂，
並不會特別的好喝，
但是在超市的一罐賣Rm2，馬爾代夫的一罐買USD8，(不知道，應該更貴吧)
整整相差了RM30，那麼究竟是哪裡的分別呢？
重點在於如何讓顧客覺得值得，而不是你自己覺得值得
只要讓顧客覺得值得，那麼他用多少錢來買都可以
就好像梵高的畫一樣，他一生裡面只買過一副畫，
而且還是他親戚幫他買的，賣了400，
但是他死後他的畫在拍賣會上，最高的那一個
是7。。。8250多萬美金，不懂有幾千幾萬倍？
那我們來想啦～為什麼買畫的人覺得7150萬美金值得呢？
那除了它是獨一無二之外，畫背後的淒慘故事，
這幅畫帶給他的感覺等等
也有可能是因為這幅畫的投資價值，還有背後的那些故事
那所有他才買了這幅畫。
所以銷售就是要讓顧客覺得你的價錢值得，而不是你自己覺得值得。
讓顧客覺得值得，除了就是一些基本的條件
例如是品質啊～或者是公司的名氣等等，更重要的就是情緒，
80%的購買都是感性（情緒）而做出決定的，尤其是在這麼貴的東西身上，
理性的原因根本不可能成為他購買的關鍵。
那麼情緒購買，大概可以分為5種：
1. 視覺效果
那視覺效果，除了就是產品的包裝，產品的一些廣告之外
那個銷售人員（的外表）也是很重要的，
那如果彭于晏和八兩金一起賣同一個產品給你，
那你自己覺得是選誰呢？那答案就是很明顯的
不然賣跑車的商家幹嘛聘請一大堆的模特兒來賣跑車呢？
2. Pride ，就是身份和地位的象徵
如果你能讓顧客，在買了你的產品過後，
他的身份和地位會比以前不一樣，或者變得與眾不同
儘管那不一定會成為事實
但是那種感覺會讓他們，得到嚮往的生活。
就好像賣屋子的人一樣，他為什麼要花那麼多錢，
去做好那個示範屋呢？
原因就是讓顧客覺得他們以後的家園就會是這樣的，
那就從此過著幸福快樂的生活，那當然啦～不一定會達成
但你有讓他有那種感覺是最重要的
還有一些就是Limited edition, 就是獨一無二的那些東西
也是非常好賣的
3. 貪婪
讓顧客覺得賺到的一個假象，也是利用他貪婪的其中一種
例如好像那種promotion啊！買一送一啊～
那種其實是用這種因素的
4. 喜歡和偏愛，這個不需要解釋，喜歡就是喜歡
如果他是喜歡你的產品，喜歡你的人，或者是喜歡那個品牌
對於那個品牌有一定的偏愛
那麼根本不需考慮到其他理性的因素。
5. 恐懼
恐懼也是其中一個購買的因素，例如好像有限期的Promotion，
或者是你錯過了這個就會賣更貴啊～類似好像那種Promotion
好像保險的銷售其實也是利用恐懼這一個點，來做銷售的
那麼大家的人生想做梵高還是畢加索呢？由你自己來決定！
最後送上畢加索的一句話，這句話其實是蠻有意思的
我們都知道藝術並不是真相，它只是尋找真相的一個謊言，
所以藝術家需要會講解還有說服，讓大家明白你的謊言

拒絕乖巧，拒絕被世俗磨滅稜角：[放棄治療]是個活在壓抑生活下的女孩最張狂、最美好的自由宣言。

學生時期女孩沒有學會如何做自己，營營役役隨著他人的意思而活，但建制規訓讓女孩覺得迷失又窒息。終於一天，承受巨大壓力的女孩在學校廁所內偷偷地哭。女孩抬頭好好看清自己，對鏡子內的自己說：「我要放棄治療，離開世俗」下了決定、握緊拳頭，指甲陷入掌心之痛喚醒沈睡的靈魂巨獸，從此再不回頭，醉心追求知識、閱讀、藝術、音樂一作者已死，自己創造更美好世界去。

拒絕廉價的勵志、討厭膚淺的口號，女孩學會擁抱自己，才能成就自愛；了解痛苦，才能找到真正快樂。You go gurl， you go gurl。《放棄治療》，獻給所有受過壓逼、欺凌，或曾經悲傷不已的學生或前學生們。

歌曲背景：

《放棄治療》是歌者Serrini對於中學壓抑生活的反思。Serrini當時的教會中學崇尚高壓規訓學生，旨在讓學生乖乖聽話，「標奇立異」是罪惡、「特立獨行」是異道。青春並不一定美好，殘酷的價值觀訓練和種種鼓勵罪咎感和不安的自我形象建立讓Serrini沒有特別找到自己、欣賞自己。在一切自責、痛苦、失落、迷茫中，終日流連圖書館的Serrini似乎煉成了複雜的自我。中學起自聽蘇打錄學會要用音樂溫柔地抵抗世界，大學時期竟真的因為喜歡盧廣仲開始就寫作音樂了。Serrini有時候會想，如果有曾經歌告訴他You Go Gurl，青春時代會不會比較快樂？[放棄治療]的創作背景就是Serrini幻想和中學的自己對話，用歌曲好好安慰一下受傷又無助的自己，並說：「終有一天快樂會來到的！」

我發現語言和文化真的很好玩，中國應該有很多我聽不懂的廣東話，因為我在馬來西亞比較是看香港TVB學的哈哈哈哈！（⚠⚠⚠注意：我覺得我聽一整句話比較會明白是什麼意思哈哈哈！）

中國和香港的廣東話我覺得意思真的有差！就好像馬來西亞華語和台灣華語，大陸華語一樣，我看我們下次來做一個中國廣東v.s香港廣東話好了哈哈哈，感覺會更好玩喔！
