ผมแต่งทำนองเพลงนี้ให้เป็นภาคต่อของเพลง 'รัก'
คอร์ด และทำนองนั้นเกิดขึ้นมาจากการจับกีตาร์แล้วร้องฮูฮาตามภาษานายนภจอมมั่ว ทั้งยังนั่งเทียนแบ่งท่อนต่างๆออกเป็นลำนำตามสไตล์จนเรียบร้อย จากนั้นก็นำไปปรึกษาพี่บอยในทันทีเหมือนเช่นเคยในทุกครั้งที่ต้องแต่งเพลงที่มีความหมายเกินตัวผมเอง ชื่อเพลง ความสุข นั้นได้มาจากโจทย์ของเพลงที่จะต้องนำเพลงนี้ไปประกอบภาพยนตร์เรื่อง "ความสุขของกะทิ" โดยเนื้อหาใจความของเพลงที่เราอยากจะถ่ายทอดก็คือ อารมณ์ที่ผู้ใหญ่อยากจะบอกเล่าความเข้าใจในชีวิตแบบง่ายๆให้ลูกหลานได้ฟังแล้วเก็บไว้พิจารณาในเวลาที่พวกเค้าอาจจะต้องพบเจอกับอารมณ์ สุข เศร้า เหงา สมหวัง ผิดหวัง ในทุกๆวัน พี่บอยฟังทำนองแล้วสามารถเขียนรวดเดียวตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นจนจบในเวลาไม่ถึงหนึ่งชั่วโมง พี่บอยถือโอกาสใช้ภาษาที่สละสลวยเหมือนร้อยกรองในเพลงนี้ ฟังดีๆจะเหมือนภาษาธรรมะที่ถูกถ่ายทอดออกมาในรูปแบบเพลงไทยสากล
มาถึงขั้นตอนการทำเพลง คนแรกที่ผมโทรไปหาเพื่อขอความช่วยเหลือก็คือ อาจารย์โจ้ @Joe Darin ที่อยากให้มาร่วมกันทำ Original Soundtrack ประกอบภาพยนตร์ทั้งเรื่องนี้ด้วยกัน (ทำออกมาทั้งหมด 28 เพลง ถ้ามีโอกาสจะเอามาโชว์นะครับ) เริ่มต้นด้วย Piano Riff ที่เป็นเหมือนภาคต่อของเพลงรัก แต่เปลี่ยน Motif ไปนิดนึงให้มีความเด็กลงเหมือนเพลงกล่อมเด็ก แต่ไม่เด็กไป จากนั้นผมก็ใส่นู้นใส่นี้ร้องโน้นร้องนี้ลงไปประกอบกันจนเสร็จเป็นเดโมออกมา ซึ่งในเวอร์ชันแรกที่ทำสำเร็จออกมานั้นก็ยังไม่มี Orchestration Parts แต่อย่างใด
ผ่านมาวันนี้ก็ครบรอบ 12ปีไปแล้ว จึงได้นำกลับมาลงให้ฟังใหม่ในเวอร์ชันที่มีการเรียบเรียง Orchestration เพิ่มเติมโดย อ.คานธี @Gandhi Wasuvitchayagit มันทรงพลังและตอกย้ำความธรรมดาของชีวิตที่พวกเราต้องเจอกันอยู่ในทุกวันได้เป็นอย่างดีจริงๆครับ วันนี้เพลงนี้เวอร์ชันนี้น่าจะมีพลังงานเพียงพอส่งต่อสอนใจให้กับผู้ใหญ่อย่างพวกเราได้ด้วยไม่มากก็น้อย
ผมจึงอยากขอบคุณเบื้องหลังของเพลงนี้ตามรายนามด้านล่างนะครับ ผมเชื่อว่าหลายท่านคงลืมการทำงานสร้างผลงานเพลงชิ้นนี้กันไปหมดแล้วล่ะ กราบขอบพระคุณทุกโอกาสที่ผ่านเข้ามาให้เราได้กลั่นกรองเพลงนี้ออกมาร่วมกันครับ
