If there is anything to take away from my Home Quarantine experience, it is the realisation of having taken all the little things for granted - going for a run or a hike, heading out to buy food or groceries, going cycling with the wifey, or even just buying prata for supper on a whim.

今年3月から3週間に1度のペースで日曜日に“Sunday Goods”をテーマに連続配信している平井 大。7月から8月にかけて“Sunday Goods -Special Summer Edition-”と題して7週間連続で配信リリースが決定しました。
“Sunday Goods -Special Summer Edition-”の皮切りとなる楽曲「小さな丘の木の下で」（2021年連続配信第6弾）は7月11日（日）にリリース致します。
今作は、「彼」と「彼女」の出会いから永遠の別れまでのストーリーを歌ったラブソングです。

少し前に、思い付きでTwitterでこんなことを聞いてみた。
"今年の夏は週一で新曲リリース、どう？"
冗談混じりの質問に、「楽しみ！」という沢山の喜びのメッセージをいただいた。
ボクのオンガクを夏に聴きたいというその思いが、とても嬉しかった。
幼い頃、何気なく思い付いた遊びが楽しかったことをふと思い出す。
どこまでもゴールを決めずに自転車を漕いだり、怪我など気にせず急な坂道をスケボーで下ったり。
そこには何の約束もなかったが、今を楽しむ心意気だけは、誰にも負けていなかったに違いない。
楽しむことが憚れるこのご時世、夏くらいはボクの思い付きにベットして、もう一度ココロから楽しむことを思い出そう。
約束の無い輝かしい夏は、もうすぐそこまで来ているのだから。

Hiraidai has been releasing a continuous release once in 3 weeks with the theme “Sunday Goods” from this March.
In addition, 7 weeks consecutive release series with the theme “Sunday Goods -Special Summer Edition-” will be starting from July to August.
The first song in Sunday Goods -Special Summer Edition “Chiisana okano kino shitade”(2021 consecutive release series’ sixth release) will be releasing on July 11th (Sunday).
This song is a love song with the story from an encounter of “him” and “her” till the end of their time.

A while ago, I've tweeted a question asking,
“What do you think of an release once every week?”
I received a lot of messages of “pleasure” to the question with a bit of joking.
I was really happy that everyone wants to listen to my music in Summer.
I remember that I enjoyed the game I made when I was a kid.
Ride a bicycle without setting a goal, and go down a steep slope with a skateboard, not worry about getting hurt.
It had no-promise but I bet my spirit for enjoying ”now” was second to no one.
In this day and age, everyone is hesitant about enjoying.
Let’s bet my whim during only Summer, and remember to enjoy from your heart again.
Shiny summer with no promise will be coming soon.

I got on a plane at the drop of a hat on a risky overdue whim, with obvious excitement at my first adventure here, but minimal expectations 🤷🏻♂️ I’m glad I didn’t have time to create any because whatever I could have dreamt up would have been blown out of the water 💦

You’ve turned celebrities into colleagues, pictures and movie scenes into reality and thrown catalytic sparks into things I’d given up on.

There are plenty of things about this place I’m yet to get my head around (the whole gun thing is a bit odd, the mosquitos are the size of birds and like to bite me on the head, the fact that someone can ask me if a place called “Malaysia” is in Europe is gobsmacking and some of the alternative vocabulary is questionable) but for the other 996 reasons it’s a truly wonderful place 🏞 Consider me smitten and very grateful to be here - I only wish it wasn’t in such contrast to the current situation back home 😔

It’s a good thing the exchange rate and visa limitations mean I’ll have to leave eventually, or things could get dangerously permanent 😅
