Ate some Hong Bao so that I can all the good luck and good fortune for the year ahead. Yes, you heard me, right?
This yummy Hong Bao aka 红包 ($10 S, $25 L) from Antoinette is made with red dragon fruit to give that huat huat colour and has chewy nian gao made in-house with black sugar, little nuggets of lightly candied yam and sweet potato as well as fluffy pork floss and salted egg to give you a deliciously auspicious year ahead! I kid you not, despite being very filling, it is highly addictive. I need to send more Hong Bao to my beloved ones. Oh yes, don’t forget to order 3 days in advance if you are looking at ordering the L ones.
Another of my fav from this cny collection is the Mala Chips ($15+ for a tub)! So 嘛，so 辣 with those crispy thin chips, any resistance is futile!!!
