A little surprise for the kiddos when they wake up later. It's a reminder to them, and to myself, that happiness can be found in the simplest of things - a good night kiss, a funny book, a kept promise, a movie night, a family meal, a handmade card.
Seeing how they also love to write me all kinds of love notes and cards, I kind of think these will make them happier than any store bought gift. The pictures are meaningful to me as these were all taken on our individual one on one dates, something which has taken a lot for us to accomplish but I am thankful that we made them happen this year.
I hope they know how special each of them is to me and how I love them all the same. To all the lovely, beautiful children out there whom we have given life to but taught us how to live, here's wishing you a Happy Children's Day 2018!
P.S. To those who asked me how to make these, I just googled for pop up card templates online (except for the LOVE one which is easy enough for me to DIY), used washi tape as borders, printed photos for the covers, cut hearts from foam, used shrinky dink and markers to decorate their names. Tip: To make decorations stand out, just stick a small piece of heavy duty double sided tape or foam tape to achieve a 3-D effect.
