Please read below if you have been struggling with disordered eating and finding peace with your body.
2004: I grew up in a culture where thinner meant prettier. Over the course of about a year, I've increased my cardio and then eventually stopped eating altogether (except to binge and purge once every 3 days). I've worked my way up to exercising 3-4 hours a day, 7 days a week. This picture was taken after I'd already shed 20lbs off my frame. I've become a robot with no personality. I've created my own hell.
2008: Six months after discovering weight lifting. I've gained back 23lbs from the photo on the left, but I'm still not healthy. I've just learned about macronutrients, and I've converted to a clean eater. I'm adhering to a meal plan, avoiding social events, restricting "bad" foods and feeling immense guilt anytime I slip up. I'm stringy and depleted.
2009: I'm binge eating probably 2-3 times a day. It may seem counterintuitive, but this is actually when I was trying to be super extreme with my dieting. I was also working out longer and harder than ever before. I was in "diet mode" - unsuccessfully so - for 5 years and looked like this because my methods were too extreme. I would cut my target calories way too low, eliminate food groups, then binge and binge and binge.
2017: Finally at peace. Over the past 3 years in particular, I've gently nudged myself in the right direction rather than trying to beat my body into submission. Once I stopped being so hard on myself and relinquished control, everything fell into place. I'm fully in tune with my hunger and satiety cues, and my energy levels are great. I maintain this look effortlessly year-round, but more importantly, I restrict zero foods and feel no guilt or neurosis about eating.
If any part of my story sounds like you, know that it can get better. Be gentle with yourself. You're allowed to make mistakes; everything is a learning experience. Get comfortable with moderation.

This workout is a combination core and cardio exercises to target the mid section and to burn the stubborn fat layer off.

Interval: 30secs workout with 15 secs rest - 8 Intervals - 2 Rounds
Goal: Beginners x2 rounds Intermediate x4 rounds
To progress:
- Choose the advance option.
- Increase the workout time to 45 secs
- Do more sets.
- Hold a pair of light weighted dumbbells
