Art of reversing the 𝘴𝘶𝘪 (bad luck).

I used to wonder how luck chose its recipients.
And why it often seemed that others had it better.
Or are some people just unlucky?
Some of you have journeyed with me from
pre-Facebook days, grew with me through the
TV shows, silver screen, Japan & back.
Though most may have only seen the superficial highs,
some have carried me through my lowest.
While I’m still finding the words to articulate the
lessons learnt over the last 24yrs—
in health, business, finance, relationships,
1 thing’s for certain:
𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐣𝐢𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐩𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞, 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐧𝐞𝐰, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞.
Some day, this pain will make sense. Be patient.

Although life never got easier,
I’m a happier person today & proof that:
𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚,
𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚.

It’s counter-intuitive, but through trial & error,
I’ve learnt that
𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟
𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧/season,
3 important things to do/think about:
𝟏) 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨?
Mentally prepare for that.
𝟐) 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝
𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 (keep expanding this gratitude list);
Remind yourself that things can always be worse.
3) Finally, when you’re in a less emotional state,
“𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?”

𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝘀.
The sooner we realise this, the faster we #levelup.
