We survived 4 days of HBL, and today is also the start of PSLE. 💪
This time round, I never set up any schedule for the girls mainly because I wasn't very ready and since it's only 10 days 说长不长,说短不短. I have so much things not settle yet so I decided to let nature take its course. 🛶 船到桥头自然直。
Day time was pretty manageable, because the girls are busy with online work and homework. I prepare their snacks earlier which I shared on my IGS, or u can swipe left to see.
I started this in May which I shared on my blog (link in bio). Starting, they do not know how to control and finish the snacks before the "school" ends. Too bad no replenish. 😝
After awhile they get a hang of it and don't bother me about snacks, hungry etc.
They only keep calling me for IT stuff (no sound, no screen, change backgrounc) which is getting on my nerves especially when I'm trying to listen to my lecturer talking. 👹
It's not easy for us parents, it's also not easy for the kids.. although it seems like they are enjoying.. but occasionally they miss their friends, the social life they have and their emotions let out channel is greatly affected. Plus the uncertainty for those who are preparing for exam.
Sometimes not having a schedule, letting ourselves to relax awhile, it's good for our mental health.
Not sure how long this "one step forward, 2 steps back" restrictions will last.. 😅 it's good to rethink by changing our mindset so we can handle this pandemic better.

Have you ever experienced rainy Paris as a tourist? Did you like it or hate it?
The night I took this picture was the night I went up Eiffel Tower. After a long queue, the moment we went up, it started raining heavily. Way too heavily! I was soaked to the bone. We were supposed to go for a fancy dinner after the tour. All our plans were ruined. It became so chilly at some point that we decided to say our goodbyes and went back to our hotels to change. I was mad, upset, and hungry!
On my way to the hotel near Sienna river, I look back. And I found this majestic view. Paris after rain. A soaked up yet all shiny Tower. Believe me or not, I totally forgot that I was HANGRY (hungry+angry) a while ago. Everything is started looking different. Rain soaked roads and alleys, lamps, the warm lights, people... everything. Rather than going back to my hotel, I started wandering around. Appeased my hunger with a Shawrma from a food truck instead of a fancy dinner. After midnight, this pseudo Cinderella reached her hotel with her wet clothes and a very warm heart.
I am a person who believe things happen for a reason. If it wasn’t raining that night, then we would have end up dining out. Paris surely wanted me to experience this all by myself. Something to cherish for long long time. ❤️

Video - Meal time
The Twins love to eat .
They are not picky eaters .
So far that is - Haha
The trick is -
1. To introduce variety of food from the age of 6 months . Stick to the same menu for 3 days and only then change . Let them accustomed to the taste . Be it Broccoli , Carrots , etc
2. Feed them when really hungry
Withhold Milk 3 hours before Food . They wouldn’t eat if their tummy is full .
3. No Sugar or Salt
Not to add additional flavours . Once a baby love the taste of sweetness he will refuse others . Many toddlers refused Milk after given Chocolate Milk or Sweetened drinks .
4. Keep it natural
Be it purée Brocolli ,Carrots or Sweet Potato let it be in its original taste . Do not confuse their taste buds .
5. Stick to Meals Routine
Babies know their Meals timing if given at the same time and will get excited about it .
6. Make Meals fun
Serving Meals to babies should be in a fun manner . You can allow Babies to play with their Finger Food for some time before serving them . But can be messy .
7. The right amount
Not too much and not too little . Small amount can leave the Baby frustrated and leave them in tantrums .
8. Encourage them
While feeding , say how tasty the Food is . Clap and kiss them when they finish their meal . This encourages babies to finish their meals each time .
9. Taste it first
Taste the food before serving to them . It will give you the experience to know what kind of food your baby loves.
10. Don’t give up
Just because the Baby doesn’t like one kind of Food doesn’t really mean he doesn’t like them . Try again the next day with different approach .
Babies should be introduced to a balanced Meal comprising of Carbs , Proteins and Vegetables. Allow plain water between feeds .
It’s best to start the above techniques from the age of 6 months .

最近一直被好奇飲食到底做了什麼改變,於是終於生出了這個影片來給大家參考。其實我是把飲食模式變成了間歇性斷食,在一樣熱量的情況下把熱量延後到中午才開始吃。選擇這個飲食模式的原因是因為我是一個容易肚子餓,而且喜歡吃大餐的人,我發現這樣的飲食模式比以前照三餐吃更讓我舒服。在這之後我沒有再讓肚子餓過,也沒有再糾結過食物,讓我跟食物的關係變得從未有過的美好。
但是因為我覺得這樣東西爭議挺大的,所以我想拍影片跟大家分享一下我自己的個人感受和經驗。我在裡面詳細地說了我現在攝取的營養素以及飲食分配,運動的配合,間歇斷食的好處、弊處以及注意事項,希望能讓大家參考。
這個飲食方式讓我
1. 更好地控制食慾,不再總是嘴饞想著食物
2. 節省了洗碗做飯的時間
3. 獲得了很好的安全感,讓我覺得壓力減少了很多
4. 更專注於我的學習和其他正事
但同時這個方法我也希望大家謹慎地去對待,不要因為別人覺得好就去盲目追隨。沒有任何方法是適合每一個人的。這個影片主要還是個人分享,沒有太多關於科學的討論,如果有興趣去嘗試的話,可以多做資料搜集,或者找我討論哦!???
Recently, many of you are curious about the change of my diets, so I finally come up with this video as a reference for you. I have changed my diet to an intermitting fasting, I am eating the same calories in a shorter period starting from noon. I chose this method, because I am easy to be hungry, and I like to eat big meals. I found that it makes me feel better than when I had three meals before. I have never ever felt hungry after I adapted to it, and I don’t struggle with food anymore, my relationship with food becomes better than ever.
However, it’s a controversial topic, so I want to make a video to share my feeling and experience about it. I talked in detail about my intake & macros, workout, pros and cons, also some reminder. I hope that it can be a reference for you.
Intermitting fasting helps me to
1. Control my appetite better, I don’t feel like I want food between meals anymore
2. Save times on cooking and washing the dishes
3. Feel more secured, less stressful
4. More concentrated on my study
Nevertheless, I also hope that you could think about it carefully, do not follow the things that others feel good. There is no method that can fit everyone. The video is just to share some personal opinions, and not much about scientific knowledge. If you are interested on it, you can do more research yourself, or discuss with me. ???
