Part 05 - Take a piece of Tainan back home!
Most of us aren’t that lucky that we live in Tainan all year long. We can only stay for a few days and then we need to return home. But since all of us love Tainan so much. Why don’t you just bring a piece of Tainan with you when you go home. This way you can extend your travel a bit longer. And how about your friends? Your Tainan adventures sounds good, photos look fabulous, but… if you can bring a bit of the flavors and aromas back to your friends and family - I am sure they will be delighted.
In this part we will explore three places that offer souvenirs that you can bring home. Make sure you have room in your suitcase because there are lots of things to buy 🙂

Tainan tropical weather is sometimes really hot, but…there are also some benefits. Think of all the sun that shines on the land here and thanks to it grows one of the tastiest fruits in the world. Taiwanese are masters of preserving fruit and you can try any type of fruit (or vegetables) any time of the year anywhere in the world, just buy a few bags to bring with you. They offer lots of different types of fruit and several other options. My favorites are mango without any sugar added, but there are way more options: from bananas, pineapples, strawberries, guavas, mushrooms, onions and much more.

When you are in Tainan you see noodles shops everywhere. I think if you try one bowl of noodles per day, you could choose a different flavor 365 days a year. Am i correct? Well, the pity is - you cannot take all those shops home. But… if you come here, you can buy noodles and cook them at home! The business is run for three generations so far. The house specialty is aloe vera which they grow themselves. They add to some flavors of noodles but also make delicious drinks with it. The variety of noodles is stunning - they are made with vegetables, whole grains, and more. An interesting fact is that they design the packages themselves, and I think their drawings are really impressive.

Do you love flowers and nice smells? Of course, who doesn’t 🙂 If you do, you can visit orchid city. It’s a gorgeous place with beautiful smells, but also you can learn about growing flowers. As an added benefit they have a souvenir shop - with products made on spot - such as shampoos and soaps. I cannot really express how well they smell, you need to check it yourself.
*Foreign visitors can enjoy exclusive offers at each store on the map!
