Waffle Day today and I'm gonna make it taste like South Australia !! I've been eating a lot of waffle recently but it's almost always pairing with banana so this time around, I decided to try something citrusty so I made waffle stack and it's topped with a whole load of amazing stuffs that's great for both the mind and the body. Everybody needs a little bit of fun and treat every now and then so I figure why not have gelato on waffle today ? Which is why I'm adding this happy treat here, on top of some quality Manuka goodness and some sweetness from this delicious honey comb, because why not? They are gorgeous on the stack too!

And pairing it with cherry tomato tonic and lime to sparkle up the day, I'm glad to know that I am safely consuming premium goodness from South Australia and that it is now happening in Malaysia.

Bread in the Deserted Place

“In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.” His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?” He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.” He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude. They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also. They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over. Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.” (Mark‬ ‭8:1-9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Jesus had compassion on those who followed Him and were hungry. They were in a deserted place.

Many believers are experiencing lack in this season. Some are losing their jobs, others are losing their businesses, seeing a decline in income, and economic prospects seem bleak. You could say it is like looking for food in a deserted place.

Abba God whose heart is compassionate just as Jesus is, wants you to be well-supplied.

He can feed you with more than enough bread, even in the deserted place. Nothing is impossible for God.

When His supply comes, it is not going to be a trickle. It will be more than you need!

Have a good opinion of your Heavenly Father. He is not trying to teach you a lesson by making you starve. He is the one who has compassion on the hungry.

Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes is a miracle that appears in all four gospels. God knows that we tend to worry about provision, and He wants us to believe that He will surely supply our needs, no matter how huge the demands upon us seem to be. God will still make a way for us.

Go ahead and thank Him for multiplying your provision. In His perfect timing, you will surely see His goodness in the land of the living!

Yokohama, a Chinese restaurant where you can line up! I visited "RyuMai" in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. 高田馬場、懐かしの定食屋へ！東京都新宿区『一膳』にお邪魔してきました。高田馬場は早稲田大学をはじめ学習院女子大学やその他専門学校、予備校がひしめく学生の街です。古くからの学生街には安い定食屋がたくさんありますが、今回伺ったのは昔高田馬場に住んでいた頃によく立ち寄った定食屋。あの頃と変わっていない雰囲気、コスパの良さは健在で、懐かしい気持ちで親子丼とナスの豚味噌炒めを食べてきました。お腹も心もいっぱいに。それでは早速動画をご覧ください！

To Takadanobaba, a nostalgic set meal shop! I visited "Ichizen" in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Takadanobaba is a student town full of Waseda University, Gakushuin Women's University, other vocational schools, and preparatory schools. There are many cheap set meal shops in the old student district, but this time I visited the set meal shop that I used to stop by when I lived in Takadanobaba. The atmosphere hasn't changed from those days, and the goodness of cospa is alive and well, and I ate oyakodon and fried eggplant with pork miso with a nostalgic feeling. Full of stomach and heart. More like a thick soup than a typical Western stew, this Chinese beef stew takes reference from Cantonese cooking and pairs vibrant flavours of daikon and carrots with rich earthy beefy goodness.

We cooked over a stove but go ahead and use a pressure cooker / instant pot to braise the beef chucks quicker.

⬇️ Ingredients here ⬇️
1.4kg Beef chuck (cut into chunks)
2 tbsp Cooking oil
2 Onions (cut into wedges)
1 Knob ginger (smashed)
2 Star anises
2 Cinnamon sticks
2 Bay leaves
4 Cloves
5 Dried chillies (pre-soaked)
2 tbsp Light soy sauce
1 tbsp Dark soy sauce
2 tbsp Chu hou sauce
1 tbsp Fish sauce
3 tbsp Shaoxing wine
Salt & sugar to taste
500ml Chicken stock
500g Daikon (peeled and cut into chunks)
2 Carrot (peeled and cut into chunks)
Coriander for garnishing
