Few months ago I was interviewed by a platform called @wiwhk (Women In Work). I think this is such a great topic of sharing, because in general being a woman is damn hard work. I’ve always been super career focused. I started working at the age of 16. When I started uni, I was working 3 jobs: first job was an internship for my degree working at a hotel waitressing, second job was a private tutor and third job was working at family business. Reaching the 3rd year of my degree I was working for free at a recruitment firm for over 9 months so I would obtain some experience on my CV as I wanted to be in Recruitment when I graduate, of course at the same time still waiting 3 shifts a week at the hotel. Final stretch of uni, I was finally working a paid job at a boutique recruitment firm before entering the pageant and then somehow working at TVB. I have never imagined myself not working. Building your career was never meant to be easy, but I consider myself super lucky. Even these days I’m still learning. Also finding that crucial balance between work vs family, commitments vs sacrifices. Ladies, working is a blessing, working hard means your able. Embrace your work no matter how hard or rough jt gets coz it makes you stronger!
