Yayyyy!!! It’s World Oceans Day today :)))) We celebrate every 8 June as a reminder of how integral our seas are to life on Earth. Today is an opportunity to raise global awareness of the benefits humans get from the ocean and our individual and collective duty to use its resources sustainably.
As the ocean is home to most of the earth’s biodiversity, we as humans must create a new balance and build a connection that is inclusive, innovative, and useful for the ocean and the life inside it.
The oceans cover approximately 70 percent of the earth’s surface, including plants, animals, and other organisms. The ocean areas fill several basins on the Earth’s surface that keep the planet warm by providing 50 percent of the planet's oxygen.
You can define it however you want, the only part that matters is putting in the time to show your support

In a first-of-its-kind study in Nature News and Comment, National Geographic Society Explorer in Residence and #PristineSeas founder Enric Sala and a team of colleagues share a blueprint for ramping up ocean protections by at least 30% by 2030.
The study shows how this level of protection would contribute to more abundant seafood and provide a cheap, natural solution to help solve climate change, alongside economic benefits.

Did you know it takes bees 16,000 hours of work to produce 1kg of honey and gather pollen from 500,000 flowers
This is high-quality honey from France’s forest and mountain.
Honey is a natural energy boost that has actually many natural health benefits that I did not know about:
- Contains nutriments and antioxidants
- Soothes sore throats and caught
It also participates to biodiversity preservation, as 80% of flower reproduction is possible thanks to bees’ pollination.
Lastly, honey is the only food that doesn’t rot and is comestible for more than 3000 years old!
