My most favorite dive in Coron. Barracuda Lake. This is where salt water meets fresh water.. and you can experience thermocline where the temperature of the water changes from 18'c to 38'c in just a few meters .. the landscape is tall limestone ridges that goes deep into the dark waters, making you feel tiny, leaving behind a sense of mystery of what lurks in the depth ... if your lucky you would get to meet the resident Barracuda who is so majestic yet scary in its 6 over feet size.. a must must visit..
tip: try to dive when theres no one and plenty of sunlight as the rays that burst into the lake lends a magical feeling of the whole experience...

PHOEBE CHAN - FREEDIVING IN BARRACUDA LAKE , CORON
Coron features one of the most spectacular landscape in the world, the steep cliff that rises from the water is simply visually stunning, and the beauty of it extends all the way into the deep water as well, this video was filmed at Barracuda Lake, and this is my first diving experience with thermocline, the first 4m layer of water is actually fresh water around 28°C. There is a huge Thermocline at 15m deep and the salt water temperature gradually rise to 39°C, what an incredible experience diving here.
