Thank you to #Belize Prime Minister John Briceño for his call for #Taiwan's inclusion in the UN at the #UNGA General Debate:

"Our multilateral system must also be inclusive, harnessing the capacity of all states to scale up international cooperation where it is most needed.

Belize has benefited greatly from our diplomatic partnership with Taiwan that is based on the shared values of democracy, freedom, human rights, and the rule of law. Taiwan has provided tremendous assistance to Belize in terms of medical supplies and financial support, so Belize is better equipped in combating COVID-19 and conducting post- pandemic recovery.

Belize calls for Taiwan’s inclusion in the United Nations and its specialized agencies, which will not only further enhance global cooperation and partnership, but also manifest the United Nation’s enshrined principle of universality."

Taiwan's vision of global partnership can serve as a valuable reference for the UN.

Visited the Ministry of Health, Singapore COVID-19 Case Management Task Group (CMTG) Operations Office yesterday. They administer the whole process for COVID-19 patients, from detection to recovery. This includes assigning patients to appropriate care facilities, arranging for transport, and briefing them on what they need to do, especially those who choose Home Recovery.

We now encourage fully vaccinated patients to recover at home wherever possible. This is less disruptive for them, especially if their symptoms are mild. It will also reduce demand for hospital beds, so that the seriously ill ones can get the treatment they need.

I know this is a stressful time for those with family members who have COVID-19. Some of you have written to me to express your frustrations, or question why MOH takes so long to get in touch after you or a loved one has tested positive.

The CMTG have a very demanding task. They operate 24/7 in a rapidly changing situation. Case numbers are still growing, and we are doing our best to scale up our operations, and make sure all patients are well cared for.

I would like to thank the CMTG for their dedication and tireless efforts. If we all work together, get vaccinated, and wear our masks properly, we can slow down the current wave, and get through safely without overwhelming our hospitals or suffering unnecessary casualties. – LHL

The second collaboration piece with @呉竹Kuretake , this time painted using their Kuretake Gansai Tambi 48 "顔彩耽美" colors set! This was an exciting challenge to try - I want to get better at painting trees and especially thick forest-like scenes like this one. This picture had only really light underdrawing and no lines.

This is also my entry to the #worldwatercolormonth2021 ! I will not be doing all the prompts, but let's say that this piece is for the "breathe" prompt.

We were recently able to go to a Japanese garden that's located really close to our house. It was temporarily closed due to the pandemic, but it opened when the stricter rules were lifted (now, if you want to go, you have to reserve a ticket - this prevents crowds.) On the day we went, it rained a lot in the morning - we had an excellent storm for the first time this summer - so the green of the plants was intensive! I took a lot of photos and tried my best to recreate this humid and green atmosphere.

Ingredients:
75g starter (tripled, use at peak)
150g all purpose flour
60g water (room temperature)
15g caster sugar
6g vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)
Red bean paste
Natural food colour powders

Method:
1. Mix all ingredients
2. Knead dough till smooth and shiny
3. Colour and shape dough into desired sushi shapes
4. 190g White - main dough (30g each with 15g red bean paste as filling), prawn and fish veins
5. 50g Black - seaweed and sesame seeds
6. 10g Yellow - egg
7. 10g Red - tuna
8. 15g Orange - salmon and prawn
9. 8g Dark orange - salmon roe
10. 10g Brown - inari
11. Let dough proof for about 2 hours at 28C
12. Wrap the lid of the steamer with cloth
13. Bring water to a rolling boil
14. Steam buns at medium heat for 9 minutes
15. Turn off heat and let the buns sit inside the steamer for 5 minutes, lid closed
16. Remove buns from steamer
17. Enjoy
