The theme of this series is the boundary between adulthood and childhood. It’s arguable exactly what age is “adult” but I feel like it is age 14. In Japanese, this age is called "sei-syun" or blue spring, meaning youth. The color blue represents spring and the bloom of life. Even though I specify her age in the title, I wanted to paint an amibigious age and ageless expression, using blue as a base color to express that she is someone real, but far from reality at the same time.
