Many of the righteous men and women of God in the Bible are described to be good-looking.
Examples: Sarah, Joseph, Isaac, Moses, David, Abigail, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Esther, and of course, Jesus.
Physical beauty is a blessing from God.
It seems that the devil didn’t know that Moses was a Jew throughout his growing up years in Pharaoh’s palace.
Through inciting Pharaoh to drown the Hebrew baby boys in the crocodile-infested River Nile, the devil was trying to kill the promised Messiah.
Sometimes the most dangerous place is the safest place.
Even for Jesus, the devil didn’t seem to know that He was the promised Messiah during the first 30 years of His life on earth.
The devil had also tried to kill the Messiah in Jesus’ time by instigating Herod to kill all the boys under the age of 2 in Bethlehem and the surrounding countryside (Matthew 2:16-18).
Moses lived in Pharaoh’s palace as the princess’s adopted son.
It’s like Jesus who was born through Mary but actually already existed before that as the Son of God.
Submitting to his adopted family, Moses grew in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man, just like Jesus (Luke 2:51-52).
It has to be differentiated that Moses grew in the wisdom of the world (Egypt), not godly wisdom.
Moses became humble and slow of speech later on in his life (Exodus 4:10), but in the first 40 years of his life, he was strong, confident and probably arrogant.
This is a picture of us before encountering Jesus.
We thought we only had ourselves to depend on and that we needed to be strong to survive — the survival of the fittest in this world.
