Anyway, this week I spent living in the remote Mayan village of Señor, Quintana Roo, located in the middle of the jungle in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, which is also known for such international tourist hotspots as Cancun and Tulum. Having seen my videos practicing the Mayan language here in Mexico, some people from the village invited me out here to experience true Mayan culture. So I decided to spend a week living in the village with a local Mayan family, practicing my Spanish and Mayan and just seeing what their traditional lifestyle is like. It was a totally different experience from being in Cancún or Tulum and it completely blew me away!
