哪種堅果奶適合你?
近年流行飲植物奶,植物奶是堅果、穀物、種籽及豆類等單一或混合製成的仿奶飲品,不同堅果可造出風味各異的植物奶,但這些「奶類新星」是否人人都適合飲用?從中醫角度看,可根據堅果奶的原材料了解飲品的屬性:
杏仁奶 — 杏仁性平,有潤肺、潤腸通便功效,尤其適合肺氣虛弱人士飲用;注意感冒未清者、容易反覆腹瀉者都不適合飲用。
腰果奶 — 腰果性平,有健脾開胃、潤肺補氣的功效,適合任何體質人士飲用。
榛子奶 — 榛子性溫,有健脾養胃的功效,尤其適合脾胃虛寒、容易反覆腹瀉人士。
核桃奶 — 核桃性熱,能補腎固精、益氣養血、潤腸通便,很適合產後婦女食用,核桃含有豐富營養元素,如優質蛋白及油脂,當中的油脂可滋潤肌膚及腸胃,促進腸胃消化預防便秘。
開心果奶 — 開心果性溫,有溫腎暖脾、潤腸通便的功效,老少咸宜,適合氣滯者、寒底人士因胃寒引致的胃痛不適、腹脹及常嘆氣人士食用。
自製堅果奶
材料:堅果1杯(堅果可自由配搭)、開水3杯
做法:堅果洗淨,浸泡2-6小時(視乎堅果硬度而定)。倒走浸泡的水,將堅果及開水以高速攪拌機攪成糊狀,如顆粒比較大,可用隔渣袋過濾堅果渣,即成堅果奶,餘下的堅果渣可焗製成餅乾。
*帶皮的堅果會帶有澀味,宜先在滾水中汆燙約20-30秒才進行浸泡。
*米與堅果的比例可按個人喜好而定

From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, we can determine the suitability based on the nature of the nuts:
Almond milk - almonds are mild in nature. They can moisten the lungs, moisten the bowels to relieve constipation, and are especially suitable for those with asthenic lung qi. Note that it is not suitable for those recovering from a cold/flu and those who are prone to frequent diarrhea.
Cashew milk - cashews are mild in nature. They strengthen the stomach and improve appetite, moisten lungs and replenish qi. Suitable for all body types.

Homemade nut milk
Ingredients: 1 cup of nuts (can mix and match), 3 cups of boiled water
Methods: Wash the nuts and soak them in water between 2-6 hours (depending on how hard the nuts are). Then, pour away the water. Add boiled water into the nuts, blend them at a high speed, and turn them into a paste. Use a sieve to remove the large bits of nuts and retrieve the nut milk. The residue can be baked into biscuits.
*Nuts with skin will have a bitter taste. It will be good to boil them in water for 20-30 minutes before soaking them
* Adjust the ratio of the nuts and water according to personal preference

#Delta帶來的困難
最近美國抗疫,大概就是遇上兩項問題
1️⃣ 有一定比例的人不願意接種疫苗或不願意配合措施,尤其年輕族群
2️⃣ 此時Delta來襲,導致CDC修改口罩令,這使得美國大眾更不能接受
以下是美國CDC與馬薩諸塞州(Massachusetts)衛生部門合作提出的近期報告
📌這份報告導致美國重新修改口罩令,接種完二劑疫苗也必須戴口罩:
美國普羅溫斯敦在7月多次大型公共活動後
7月3日至17日期間Massachusetts居民中發現了 469 例 COVID-19 新病例
其中 346 例,即 74%,發生在二劑完全接種疫苗的人身上。
並在 133 名患者的 90% 樣本,也就是119名患者發現是Delta。
CDC還檢查了127名接種疫苗的患者的 #病毒載量 (viral load)
發現與另外84名感染該變異、卻未接種疫苗的人的病毒載量 #相似。
但是該組 #住院率 相當低,有五人住院,其中四人接種了疫苗。沒有人死亡。
📌 CDC 表示,他們的調查指出
絕大多數接種疫苗的人(約 79%)都出現了明顯的 Covid-19 症狀。
Delta 變體在接種疫苗和未接種疫苗的人群中都會導致高病毒載量。
📌 本週早些時候,疾病預防控制中心就更改了其戴口罩指南,
建議即使是接種過疫苗的人也可以在美國 #部分地區 重新戴口罩
在這些部分地區,指的就是delta變異病毒正在加劇增幅的區域。
這表明接種疫苗的人群與未接種疫苗的人群一樣能夠傳播病毒
這一發現促使 CDC 再次建議高傳播地區的人們在室內戴口罩,無論疫苗接種情況如何。
CDC 主任羅謝爾·瓦倫斯基 (Rochelle Walensky) 說:
“高病毒載量表明傳播風險增加,並引發了人們的擔憂,即與其他變種不同,感染了 Delta 的疫苗接種者仍有傳播病毒的能力。”
“這一發現令人擔憂,是導致 CDC 更新口罩建議的關鍵發現。”

1️⃣ Delta 似乎具有極強的傳染性—並負責更多的突破感染。
2️⃣接種疫苗的人可能比預期更容易傳播病毒。(但是住院率極低,目前預估千分之四)
3️⃣ 這對於家庭中有免疫力較差的成員,是非常大的生命威脅
雖然以上似乎與我們從一些美國重症醫師現場的觀察相左
美國前幾周大部分重症住院者,幾乎都仍是現行未打疫苗的民眾
會不會是所謂被認為打完疫苗 #突破性感染 的患者
症狀不致住進醫院,而是在家觀察?
另外也有一個猜疑是根據7月29日Nature引用了一篇研究
該研究來自以色列接種BNT的醫護人員數據,於7月28日發表在NEJM上
認為突破性感染的原因,在於抗體濃度產生較低,是未被感染者的⅓
不過這研究是2021年1月到4月,當時delta未出現
Delta應該是明顯讓有效的中和抗體效價降低
這就是追求全球同步族群免疫的重要
如果變異一直從未能疫苗普及或措施效率差的開發中國家不斷出來
進步國家會也只能循環開發疫苗下一個版本的研發與補打
因為變異的速度很容易讓人前功盡棄

拜登政府也全力對抗著國內的反疫苗訊息
反疫苗與疫苗疑慮,在不同的國家不同族群,就有不同的挑戰
在美國現在就是年輕族群遇到強大的挑戰,這和台灣很不一樣

這篇文章的背景,正是現在美國當下許多年輕人不想接種疫苗,卻Delta變異襲來的期間
指出青少年和年輕人 (adolescents and young adults, AYAs)
除了施打疫苗之外,要他們接受公共衛生措施,是困難的
因為年輕人有自己的文化,是另類的 #社會支持
他們需要約會、牽手、接吻、性行為,稱為浪漫關係
雖然 AYA 可能了解參與 COVID-19 預防措施的益處,但有些人可能會優先發展和維持他們的浪漫關係。
因此強化年輕人族群中的衛教和疫苗、變異病毒的趨勢,是美國衛教的現行重要目標
讓同意遵守 COVID-19 預防措施,成為伴侶之間的共同目標
📌 在疫苗免疫的持續時間尚不完全清楚的時代
都再次驗證我們即便打完疫苗,公共衛生措施仍不能偏廢
這一點我對戴了超過一年口罩的台灣完全有信心

Worried about late periods?

Hong Kong is notorious for its long working hours among other countries and cities in the world. No matter how fast and efficient you are in a company, you can seldom leave the office before sunset. Yet, some people are much worse than that! They have to bring the unfinished duties home as home office. These endless duties have threatened the workaholic to risk. Is this the ideal life that you are expecting? If you are courageous eniugh, try to give yourself a little break; spend some time with nature and be with it. Let nature refresh yourself. Reflect upon the road you have chosen to drive on or you may have unexpected rewards in return. Your future could be much brighter than what you have now!
This time, my latest production "Escape" was made by the methods of Timelapse and Hyperlapse. On the one hand, it reflects the seriousness of long working hours and imbalanced city life of most Hong Kong people; on the other hand, the camera brings you to indulge yourself again with the stunning naturalscape. It can calm us down and let our minds relax for a while. These stunning views of Hong Kong perhaps make itself be the best and happiest city in the world.
