📍 Rundum Highlands, Tenom
I thought Ranau/Kundasang is the place for a cold weather getaway, didn’t think that there would be a place just as cold, well actually even colder. It took us around 12 hours on road from Kota Kinabalu with a few stops along the way to reach this place. The last stretch was the hardest going through unpaved logging roads. Definitely need a bigger car to get there. We arrived just before dusk and settled in before the opening ceremony began for the cultural performance. It was pitch black and only the bonfire and portable spotlights illuminated the entire field.

In this video, we have a first look and first impressions of the newest flagship speedlight from Canon, the EL-1. It's marketed as the "1DX" level of their flashes with extremely fast recycle times and a weather resistant body. Wanted to show you guys the operation and some sample images I took with this flash. (Note: this unit is still a preproduction model)
Unfortunately, the city I stay in just went into another lockdown and so, I had to return the flash. I was planning on shooting with it for a few more shoots and do a a proper review on this amazing flash. I did manage to take it out on two separate shoots within the span of a day. It's not long but it did give me a good idea of the improvements in this flash. Hopefully I'll be able to loan it again to do more proper testing! WOOHOO! My uploads are abit more consistent these days and I'm super proud.
So this is all I have from my recent trip to Seoul because my cam screwed up and this is all I have. But it was very nice to be able to spend a solid 13-14 days there, it's almost like we were accumulating for all the travelling we KNOW we won't be able to get for a while now. I love the Han River nights (always) especially if weather is amazing.
Both places we ate at the Gwangjang Market was featured by Netflix Food Series but the pink ajumma was the main character so we were a bit more excited to meet her haha. Have you guys tried Hallabongs before? It was my first time and it was amazing!
