Enjoying the simplest enjoyment in life. The Sun.We never thought we would have 2 cats before our baby came along. But when i saw Pito at Capitol Theatres B5 carpark, emaciated, and covered in fleas, i knew i had to nurse her back to health.The intention was always to foster her temporarily. Because we really wasnt planning on adopting #2 so early on. She also developed an extreme insecurity towards food, perhaps bcos she was so lacked of it as a kitten. She would steal our food off the plate, rip open our groceries, munch on the cookies or bread we leave on the countertop. Sometimes we would come home to a carpet and floor filled with food crumps!Those moments were really testing! So many times, we wanted to give her away or put her up for adoption. But all the time, @deon.woo and i would just end up encouraging each other to be more patient and accepting towards her flaws.We couldnt change her. So we changed us. These days, youll find no food of any kind exposed on table tops. They are all kept hidden in the cabinet or oven(for temporary storage).She is extremely adorable and loving when she doesnt get triggered. Shes like a little doggy. First to greet us at the door when we are home, first to run to the door whenever we come out from the bedroom. When we are home, shell be walking right next to our feet wherever we go. When @Deon.woo goes to office on weekdays, shell hide under the sofa, refuse to say goodbye because shes sad.The moment we accept her for what she is. We start to embrace and love all of her. Its the same with human, the same with ourselves. Nothing and no one is perfect. But if you keep rejecting these imperfections, youll never see beyond that. Aww, this photo warms my heart.Hes never had a pet before we met. Always wanted one, but never had the chance. Hes always loved and wanted a Siamese.When he met Jups, he fell in love with her. Theres nothing not to love about Jups. Shes so easy, so gentle. Take instructions so well. Never once scratched anyone nor the furnitures except her scratching post.He said our second will be a Siamese. Hes never experience a kitten before. So our second and last cat will be a Siamese baby.And then, Pito appeared out of nowhere, severely sick and malnutrition. We nursed her back to health and convinced ourselves that we will give her up for adoption once she feels better.Well, we all know how that went.The two girls stole our heart. As mischievous as Pito is, we love her. Sometimes the way she looks at us, its almost like shes grateful we saved her life. We love them both dearly.Bottom line is, a pet is a pet. Youll develope feelings and love for them overtime, no matter what their breed is, no matter if you buy or adopt them. If you show them love, they will show you double the love. Its animal instinct.Im so glad when i heard Deon telling someone else the other day to adopt instead of buying a cat. Hes a convert.
