「My casual drinking 」（this line is a inside joke with buddies 😬) —— DRC Montrachet 1978 , I think it needs certain hour of air to find its center of balance as I arrived late in the dinner and everyone already started to drink . But I realized from my sip that the balance was just completely perfect. I think I have never seen a wine make such a dramatic transformation from the beginning till the end which never go downhill. Attractive tropical, dried fruit , intense buttery , nutty flavors and there was aroma of coconut shreds for the last bloom.

📍 Pekan Nabalu, Ranau

All the tiredness of going through the crazy downhill trail and walking down the river path was all worth it when we have arrived at the Dallas Waterfall of Pekan Nabalu 🏞️.

11KM loop trail, going through the local orchard, surrounded by many of the infamous Keladi and the sound of the deep forest was really something else.

10/10 will repeat!

FORMOSA TRAIL 福爾摩沙古
main loop with my wife Eva Lobo. This course is maintained by Petr Novotny and @Beast Runners 跑山獸 since 2015 for Formosa Trail trail running event. This main circle is 22km long with significant elevation gain of 1700m. Average trail runner need 6 hours as we did, however average hiker should count with 10 hours.


This course is mid-altitude mountains on east from Puli 埔里. Course is beautiful with pleasant forest and several views. Even during hot summer day temperature in this forest is nice. All course is single track with several challenging parts, last 6km are downhill on concrete road.

Formosa Trail 福爾摩沙古
event is held every year last weekend of November and runners participate in 16, 40, 75 and 104km with start in Solas Hotel 天泉溫泉水 on Liyutan lake 鯉魚潭. Formosa Trail is very popular trail running event among overseas runners from Japan and Hong Kong.

If you go explore never forget to have GPS (with uploaded GPX) and all equipment and food and water for whole day.

After touring the private onsen room and taking a soak, Max and I were ready for dinner. It started to get fishy when I called the front office for a menu, and they never brought it until I called again. But in the end we were able to order dinner. Dinner wasn't too bad! 500k VND (~$21 USD)/set, and the set was quite good. However, it really started going downhill when we ordered the "special" dessert... needless to say it was a ripoff. A turbulent journey of a girl travelling across the globe with high hopes & aspirations to seek life to it's fullest only for her dreams to be short lived and forced her to be confined indoors due to the pandemic which then restricted her to live normally again especially when there is no tell when the outbreak will subside. This music video is an invitation to come along on a rollercoaster ride of emotion that enriches the concept of life. A narrative created for the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival.

Personally, this is the most raw piece of filmmaking I have ever done because you will see the happiest and lowest I have ever been in my life. It was my privilege to share this story with you especially in the midst of this historic mark that affected the whole world. When I was editing this for the first time, I literally took 2 hours just to get myself together and not break down. This was an ongoing process till today (I'm much better now, don't worry hehe)

Initially the narrative for Better Half was supposed to be a love story that speaks on the levels of how complicated a relationship can be and to understand the depth of love, better. However, I had to scratch that idea out because my actors and my team had to go our separate ways due to the virus outbreak and social distancing.

Although the process went downhill, I think Better Half was told in it's best version now and I am so proud how it was constructed. I hope this music video gives some sort of inspiration to all of you that even though life will knock you down in the most unimaginable way possible, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. We just need to be brave to find it.
