About Boris Foong
Founder / Producer of Portal MY, holding his Guest DJ residency for ZOUK KL, hosting his radio show, coordinates club night events, and a VJ(ALT_IMG) for main-stages representing many recognised international EDM artistes. Love & talent for music continues to grow with maturity & intensity for Boris Foong, with eagerness to harvest his name into the Malaysian electronic dance music culture. He marks his signature DJ selections with Deep House, Minimal Techno, Progressive Trance & Uplifting Trance. And also provides creative & distinctive visuals for many of the local and international DJ acts on the main-stages.
Having experienced playing alongside ALY & FILA, ORJAN NILSEN, MARLO, BEN GOLD, SHOGUN, ESTIVA, BEN NICKY, FERRY TAYLE, FONO, MISTERARIFFIN, TRIMIX, SIMON LEE & ALVIN, PHIL K LEE, RAMSEY WESTWOOD. The rise of Boris Foong as a young boy from the suburban of Kuala Lumpur into one of the most prominent & upcoming DJ has become an inspiring tale amongst his DJ peers. Coming full circle from a dream to reality of wanting to become amongst the best, we can be assured that his name, face, and brand is a force that will drive electronic dance music in Malaysia for years to come.
Also a Stage VJ, Graphics, Animation, & Hollywood Visual Effects artist, he showcases his creative visual projections through big stages happening in KL for Good Vibes Festival, Ohrwurm KL, Heineken Thirst, Zouk KL Mainroom, Future Sound Asia events, Soju Sunway and many more. Also presenting his YouTube channel with DJ performances & music productions. He promises the best of both worlds, the combination of quality music & hypnotizing visuals to his audiences.
A multi-instrumentalist himself, with the longevity of growing up under his mother's music school, D'Music House. A lover of all things music, technology, top notch creative arts & stage performances.
It all started in the year 2004, at the age of 14, when he discovered his interest with the technicality of DJing and the world of music. Like his mentors, Excessive Records's Bryan Burger, Callen(@themancalleduncle), and Zouk KL's DJ Fono, he strives to push boundaries to be one of the most prominent & sought-after figure in the Electronic Dance Music Community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is also a close collaborator with DJ/music producer Ramsey Westwood for their progressive music productions.
