One Saturday Night in the Year 2008...
A night like this brings back my memory. It was Saturday Night just like tonight, but that was 9 years ago. I still lived in California, was fresh out of my previous relationship and wasn't looking for a new one. I was very, very single and very, very far away from home.
Friday Nights and Saturday Nights, from where I lived, are known as "Date Nights" People would sacrifice anything in their lives just to make sure they wouldn't be alone in date nights. Restaurants and movie theaters would be packed with couples; love was still in question but expectation was flying high.
As for me, I befriended with loneliness. It was strange and painful at first, then we became close and I found myself getting more and more comfortable living with it. I always stayed in my apartment while the rest of the city was going out. I had no problem with couple everywhere but I had problem with too many people anywhere.
So that Saturday night started off just like any other weekend nights. My roommate went out for a date, just like my other friends. I was getting ready for my usual night-in. Then something kinda hit me and I decided that I wouldn't want to stay in anymore. I wouldn't want to get all dressed-up either. I just wanted to be invisible and got lost in the crowd. So I threw on my over-sized sweater and hid my undone hair under a cap and drove out to the craze of LA.
I actually drove about ten blocks to the mall on Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills where it's packed with couples. I got myself one ticket for this movie, Life as a House. I also got myself one bucket of Popcorn, one big glass of Coke and one nasty look from the vendor behind the counter. Single people is not acceptable on date nights!! I tried not to cuss and quietly sneaked into the movie theater.
I saw couples in their twenties giggling, couples in their thirties holding hands and couples in theirr sixties still giggling and holding hands. I myself sat next to this couple in their late forties and still looking very much in love. We exchanged a quick friendly smile, then the light went off, the screen brightened...
The movie was all right, not great but not disappointing. At the end of the movie, I was still sitting in my chair while other moviegoers were moving out. I didn't know that the lady sitting next to me was neither moving. She leaned towards me and asked if I liked the movie. I heard myself saying a polite Yes. Then she said to me, "When I was your age, I always came to movies alone too. But don't worry, one day you'll find someone to enjoy every movie with you." Giving a light pat on the back of my hand, she got up and left with her husband, whose hand always held hers. I still sat there trying to digest the moment and her kind words.
Suddenly, everything felt ok and I was glad I broke my usual routine and came out that night...
I was alone but it was ok. It was ok to be lonely. It was ok to wait for the right person. The one person that would never let go of my hands. I made my decision right then and there that I would never settle for anything or anyone less than that...

第一天因為他們剛下飛機所以這天的行程比較簡單
主要是在我們住宿附近景點吃吃走走逛逛

越南河粉跟其他餐點都表現優秀的餐廳
乾的涼拌河粉 Bún Tôm Thit Nuong Cha Gio也很推!

是一間環境跟氛圍都很美的餐廳兼bar
戶外區能看到海夕陽時候非常漂亮
食物是義式料理披薩義大利麵都好吃很道地
份量不大可以多點幾道前菜跟主食大家一起分享!

DAY TWO

很夢幻充滿白色矮房的一個區域
就在newport beach旁邊
可以在等船前來這邊吃飯逛街喝咖啡

來newport beach必體驗的行程!
船隻非常好操作是電動的5mi/hr很慢幾乎像放空檔一樣
不需要有證照只要有一般駕照就可以開
而且沒有想像貴一小時一百美金我們四人分才台幣七百多越多人分越划算
租船的網站是這個 https://eboatsrental.com/ 直接網路上填寫即可
我們租的是The pink fantail boat 雖然寫10位乘客
但我覺得大概六人還算舒適再多有點擠～
船上也可以自己帶零食飲料很方便!

每年夏天七八月在橘郡orange county最有名的園遊會/遊樂園
有很多設施,攤位,表演跟很多高熱量食物蠻值得朝聖的!
不管是朋友,情侶或是親子都很適合來玩～

IRVINE這間卡啦ok我覺得環境乾淨食物也好吃而且就在oc附近
樓下的plaza有鮮芋仙,BCD tofu house,85度c,海底撈等等很台的地方!

推薦程度:3.5顆星
這是一間在malibu很有名的網紅餐廳的分店
環境跟氣氛很棒而且位置就在海邊很chill～
食物的部分我覺得就中上沒有激好吃
如果想要比較平價跟道地海鮮的話更推bear flag!

DAY THREE

有很多質感店家的幾條街
很有名的網紅店alfred tea house也在這
可以在附近走走逛逛很有味道!

經典的比佛利山莊不用多加贅述
來這邊就是看看名車,window shopping一下
然後記得要去rodeo drive拍觀光客照!

美式復古風的大型戶外mall像電影裡一樣!
有很漂亮的噴水池,遊園小火車,多家百貨公司
還有farmers market要吃要逛這裡都有～
有時候還會有露天電影院哦!

LA的韓式真不是一般的好吃
而且很多bar其實都在這區
可以晚餐來吃飯小酌買珍奶!
這邊位子很難停建議uber來比較方便~

洛杉磯郡立美術館入口最知名的裝置藝術
我個人是覺得晚上來更漂亮也很獨特～

推薦程度:5顆星
非常經典必吃的LA人健康餐
沙拉,三明治,早午餐等不容易踩雷
用的食材都很新鮮料理方式簡單但就是可口!
‣Umami burger

我人生吃過最好吃的漢堡!(我平常不吃
一定要點松露口味的雖然很貴但真的極好吃
松露薯條也是香到不行吃過絕對難忘～
‣Sun nong dan
推薦程度:4.5顆星
ktown最知名的牛骨湯餐廳
6,7號還有galbi jjim必點!
24小時營業但隨時都很多人
不建議假日去不然就是要避開熱門時段
少0.5顆是因為我個人不是牛骨湯粉
還是喜歡喝紅色辣辣的湯哈哈

這裡有點像美國mall的旗艦店
斥資超多億打造的一個度假風戶外mall
在附近的話很推薦來逛逛美到不行!
裡面餐廳也很多還有鼎泰豐

‣Killer noodle
推薦程度: 4.5顆星
Sawtelle這區我跟姊姊最愛吃的麻辣麵
他有點像日式結合中式擔擔麵
辣度麻度都可以自己調整我通常都吃正常辣麻
我覺得乾的downtown style超好吃
喜歡吃麻醬的可以點tokyo style
但總之我覺得乾的麵體更Q更推乾麵!
‣Blockheads
推薦程度: 5顆星
我在台灣都很少吃綿綿冰但這家真的超好吃
一定要點紅豆抹茶口味的然後淋煉乳
三四個人吃的話可以加點一份麻糬
喜歡芝麻的人黑芝麻口味的綿綿冰也很讚!

基本上迪士尼我會安排一整天
因為就算一個園區也有很多要玩要逛
尤其又要看遊行跟煙火的話
我們的票是在官網上買的
一定要加錢買max pass哦!
才可以直接用手機抽fast pass超划算

‣Boiling crab
推薦程度:5顆星
來LA必吃的手抓海鮮的超人氣始祖店!
比台灣的便宜又非常好吃
必點炸花枝,蝦,還有銷魂的玉米
店家不會給手套喔可以自已帶!
迪士尼附近就有一家可以安排在同一天
幾乎每家都要排建議要馬五點去要馬八點後再去～

DAY SIX

▲HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME
經典好萊塢大道有點像在時代廣場的fu
喜歡電影的可以來踩點～

其實我們本來有打算去爬山看hollywood sign
但後來發現在這可以直接看到就懶得去了哈哈
不只看得算清楚還可以用望遠鏡看個仔細

美國版的豪華成人版湯姆熊!
其實我真的覺得裡面的遊戲都蠻好玩又有創意
一群朋友的話可以在裡面玩幾個遊戲
▲Manhattan Beach
每次在LA都至少去個三次的地方
海邊走道寬敞乾淨房子每個都美到目不暇給
周邊也很多好的海鮮餐廳海灘本身乾淨沙子也算細軟
總之是LA等級蠻高的海邊非常舒適～

這個我沒在裡面打出來
但是晚餐的鼎泰豐我們是在這裡吃的
這間也是開兩三年的新mall蠻好逛也漂亮
但位子比較不在中心所以可以避開鼎泰豐人潮

‣The Original Hoy-Ka Hollywood
推薦程度:3.7顆星
基本上好萊塢旁邊就是thai town
這間其實也有中上而且環境新也乾淨
只是期望太高所以多扣了0.5顆星
duck noodle, sneaky pork,打拋豬都好吃
不推薦瑪莎曼咖哩就是了

DAY SEVEN

這條街完美詮釋LA的風格很有味道
整條都是可愛的小店跟咖啡廳還有素食店
很多人也喜歡來這邊拍塗鴉
▲venice beach
這個海邊算是LA海邊裡面級數比較低的
會常常有人在路上賣大麻或塞CD給你
建議可以多幾個人一起去不要落單
但venice仍舊是非常經典的海邊
有海邊健身房,滑板場,籃球場等等
可以大概逛一下然後記得拍venice sign!

算是我私心推薦的隱藏版景點
這裡像是跟其他地方隔絕一樣非常靜謐
房子真的像威尼斯都在水上還有小船
而且每一棟都很有特色天氣好的時候極～美
可以吃飽過來走走或是夕陽時也很迷人!
*以上這幾個行程都能一個下午完成
建議可以像我們一樣租電動滑板車
幾種車款只要註冊app或用uber就可以租
我記得只有bird會要駕照其他品牌不用
但venice海邊跟canals是不能騎進去的喔
這一年規定變蠻多一些要再注意一下~

我不吃他們的漢堡所以問我不準哈哈
但無論如何這都是要朝聖一下的
我能確定的是animal fries是好吃的啦!

我覺得最好吃的acai bowl店!
一定要點GAUCHO然後請他多加蜂蜜
GUAVA SUNRISE也好吃這兩個我們最常點～

我們這次考量到預算所以選擇住airbnb

這間我個人是覺得很滿意推薦程度五顆星
整個房子的屋況都很新一切都是全自動密碼鎖
到了以後就自己按密碼不用麻煩房東
房間是公共空間跟他人共用(但好像也只有我們在用
四人的話是更好因為房內有廁所2人的話廁所在外面
房間廁所床鋪都很乾淨而且每天早上都會看到房東來洗
還會再請一個人來打掃所以讓人很安心
位置在一個蠻安靜的住宿區中離sawtelle開車大概5-10分鐘
離down town的各式景點跟機場都半小時內可到
來LA要有覺悟就是30分鐘內到的了都叫近
而且每兩個小時就會塞一次車所以時間控制很重要
我們沒有租車是因為25以下租車會被charge一個費用
所以後來才決定到處uber但四個人分其實也蠻划算
而且我們坐到最後因為搭太多趟潘潘的uber直接給他75折!
總之我只是想表達到處uber是可行的沒有一定要租車~

If I didn't want to choose from all the colours then probably this list would be a little different but I wanted to include all the colours.
