Shot taken 3 weeks ago at 36 weeks, and I’m currently at 39 weeks. Till date, I still wake up every morning and look at my tummy, “omg this is real, I have a baby and I will be seeing him real soon.” Everything still feels so surreal to me, and I can’t believe it. Tbh, I’m extremely petrified of the pain that awaits when I deliver cuz my pain tolerance is 0, and even normal jabs/IV drips I also weep already HAHA, but I know it’s something I have to go through in life eventually.
I started having stretchmarks all over my bum after 30 weeks, and it’s so bloody hideous lol. Started having subtle ones around my belly now too sigh. Never felt so so ugly before.
I don’t know if my body would ever revert back to more or less how it used to be. I know it’s superficial, but can’t deny it’s pretty disheartening and it does affect me. It’s ok, nobody to impress anymore other than Mark anyway, and ok la he quite sweet still tell me “aiya not obvious la, cannot see one la.” Not sure if he’s trying to 敷衍 me, but ok thanks, for you to see only anyway LOL.
At the end of the day, I think it’s amazing how my body could be a vessel and house a lil life after all. As long as bb is healthy and happy, it is worth it.
