"A Love Story" is a 7 minutes journey into the long-lasting partnership between a famous city – Hong Kong, and a major construction company – Dragages Hong Kong, subsidiary of Bouygues Batiment International. Based on the on-going building of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Building in Hong Kong, the film takes us into a real Hong Kong tour of sensibility.
The idea of the film is to change the way a construction company communicates about its know-how and image, through a very poetic approach.
After "Eyes Wide Open" in 2010 and "Beautiful British Columbia" in 2011, Bouygues Batiment International chose to work again with the French production agency E-magineurs and with the international award winner director Damien Steck, who specializes in such sensitive and delicate picture.
Altogether, the cinematographic style of the film makes it look like a real trailer for a feature film. Supported by the emotional music by M83, it brings us towards a new perspective on a construction company which creates buildings with an exceptional sense of place.
The film was shot in Hong Kong in 6 days between February and September 2012.
