Just when you thought Furby couldn't get any cuter, it has. The new Furby Connect receives a makeover, with the most notable change being its full-color LED eyes which capable of even greater expressions. It also uses Bluetooth technology to connect with kids through entertaining video clips, catchy songs, and phrases, and even sports a new LED antenna on its head that doubles as a joystick! No surprise then that Ale is absolutely smitten with it.
Enhanced movements appear more natural than before, and multiple sensors throughout its body allow it to respond to touch in fun and surprising ways. Furby even knows the date and time so imagine the monkies' surprise when it asked for breakfast or supper! LOL And in a sign of the times, the fun is also extended to paired devices where Furby can lay digital eggs (and raise virtual Furblings) and poop out stuff into a digital toilet. In addition to mini-games, the app now comes with kid-friendly videos and music curated by Hasbro, where Furby can sing and dance along to the entertainment.
For me though, the greatest improvement of that Furby Connect has over its predecessor is the ability to shut them up instantly. The past Furbies were almost impossible to silence them and that was irritating. Furby Connect comes with a sleep mask which when snapped on, the creature mutes itself immediately. Peace when I want it.
Furby Connect is retailing at $249.90 and available at Toys “R” Us and major department stores.
