3M is seeking an Engineer for the Optimized Operations (O2) Experience
Program. This position will be a rotational program in Taiwan.
3M Optimized Operations (O2) is a manufacturing and supply chain based
program that provides recent graduates with a world of opportunity to jump
start their careers. O2 involves challenging assignments and rotational
experiences geared toward inspiring employees to be continuous improvement
driven, understand culture, explore your career and globally engaged in 3M.

Six Sigma, advanced statistics, project leadership, supply chain principles,

Job Summary:
The Optimized Operations (O2) Engineer's role is to successfully learn, lead
and implement multiple improvement projects within the 3M manufacturing and
supply chain environment.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
‧Participating in extensive training including but not limited Six Sigma,
Lean, project management and leadership development.
‧Providing leadership on assigned projects, with mentoring, to develop
proficiency using established methods, practices, and concepts that are
heavily weighted by Six Sigma methodology and focused on Lean Manufacturing
Principles.
‧Pass 3M LSS Green Belt or Lean certification by completed projects to
improve Mfg. & supply chain cost/efficiency.
‧Project work may include productivity improvements, changeover reduction,
cycle time reduction, quality improvements, waste reduction, process control
improvements, etc.
‧Engage people and build up leadership to drive project execution and
delivery result.
‧Willing work in multiple functions/productions as assigned and right fit on
3M leadership behavior “Play to Win, Foster Collaboration & Teamwork and
Prioritize & Execute”.
Basic Qualifications:
‧Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or MBA within the last than
one year working experience.
‧Previous internship, co-op, and/or industry work experience with success
outcome & learning
‧Must be willing to accept to rotate to different functions within the first
24 months of employment based on project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
‧Recent graduates who are in the last year of completing a Bachelor’s
degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an
accredited university
‧Win international award
‧Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (before
graduates or intern program)
‧Excellent oral and written in English with nation/culture environment &
open mind for challenge
‧Ability to work on cross-functional teams & quick learner
‧Demonstrated leadership ability, organizational skills, process control,
and statistical knowledge
‧Continuous improvement program license or certification (including quality
control, six sigma, lean, etc.) is plus.
Location: Yangmei, Kuan Yin & Tainan
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel and international assignment
