提到速食漢堡店，你會想到誰？麥當勞和漢堡王一直都是速食界最大競爭對手。但上週六，阿根廷的漢堡王與麥當勞卻做起了「一日朋友」，停止販售「#華堡」一天，更請客人去麥當勞點「#大麥克」！？
原來當地的麥當勞正為癌症兒童捐款，每賣出一個大麥克，餐廳即捐出2美元給當地癌症兒童基金會。漢堡王決定在當日停售華堡，目的能轉而提升大麥克的銷售量，吃漢堡之外，還能做善事。
最後漢堡王也沒有因為沒賣華堡而業績下滑，而麥當勞大麥克的銷售量也比去年增長破七萬的銷售量，這樣的舉動造成兩者雙贏的結果。
誰說競爭對手一定要互相敵視？幫助對手之餘更能展現競爭風度。
Speaking of fast food restaurant chains, what pops into your mind first? McDonald’s and Burger King have always been the two biggest competitors. However, Burger King and McDonald’s were having a #truce in Argentina last Saturday. Not only did Burger King stop serving Whoppers for a day, but they also wanted the customers to order more Big Macs instead. What exactly have happened?
It turned out that McDonald’s in Argentina was raising funds for children suffering from cancer. For every single Big Mac they sold, the restaurant would donate 2 USD to the local charity. Burger King also decided to stop serving Whoppers in order to encourage people to buy more Big Macs. Other than just eating burgers, you could end up doing something nice.
At the end of the day, the sales performance of Burger King didn’t drop at all and McDonald’s sold more than 70,000 Big Macs. It was no doubt a win-win situation.
Who said the rivals can’t help each other? By helping your rival, it can show your class and grace in the end.
