糖尿病自古就被發現，最早記載於西元前1500年前的古埃及
，在病因未發現之前世界各地方都出現各種不同的治療方法
。
這些這個方法由現在來看其實是非常荒謬的。

直到1900年左右糖尿病的發病機轉被證實。
1889年德國的科學家約瑟夫.馮美林和俄國的科學家奧斯卡.明科夫斯基發現摘除胰腺的狗出現了糖尿病所有的症狀並在不久死亡。

1910年愛德華.阿爾伯特沙.比謝弗爵士提出患了糖尿病的病人是因為缺少一種胰腺製造的物質。
他建議稱這種物質為insulin.原意為小島，中文稱之為胰島素。

1921年就是在將近100年前是糖尿病發展史上非常重要的一年。
弗雷德，里克格蘭特，班廷爵士做了許多試驗，進一步證明可以通過注射健康狗的胰島提取物在患有糖尿病的狗注射會讓得糖尿病的狗復原過來。

1922年的為糖尿病者得到了一種有效的治療-胰島素注射療法
。他的團隊也因此獲得了1923年的諾貝爾生醫學生理學獎和一些獎，這個在諾貝爾獎上歷史是最快的一次，從發現到後講只有兩年的時間。

我們要提的是這個團隊他註冊的專利，但是他並沒有收許專利許可費或控制商業製造，這使得胰島素的生產和使用迅速地遍及全世界。

2006年12月20號聯合國通過了61之225號捷運決議，每年的11月14號是聯合國糖尿病日
，因為這一天是發現了胰島素功用的加拿大與學家弗雷德里克班廷的誕辰。

過去的胰島素都是打針注射的方式，多數的病人並沒有辦法接受，科學家一直在往口服胰島素的方向在走，但目前為止還沒有成功。

明年2021年將是胰島素發現的的一百年，期待能夠有口服胰島素的發明，我們就有更多的武器來對抗萬病之王糖尿病，

由這一段歷史來看人類對疾病的治療一直在進步當中，這包括病人，醫師團隊的努力。

由糖尿病來看，現在所存在的許多沒有辦法治療的疾病應該是處於這個模式，我們要不斷的進步為人類的健康而努力。

The godfather of Taiwan racing, Jun San Chen, remarked: “The racing profession is, at times, a somewhat closed-off sport, but after meeting STARFiSH and their professional publicity team, they have exposed racing to a greater audience. 馬友(Fourfinger threadfin) 屬馬鮁科，又稱午魚，其他名字包括南洋午、白午、白伍和四指馬鮁。馬友喜歡熱帶地區的生活環境，喜棲息於沙底海區，有時游入河口或紅樹林內覓食，以無脊椎動物為食，並常成群湧向潮間帶覓食。每年於5到6月向港灣作生殖迴游，生殖後游返外海。馬友分佈於印度西太平洋區，澳洲，在日本和中國的南方沿海等海域，又以湛江雷州半島和海南島最著名。

馬友頭較短，眼睛較大，吻短且鈍尖，背部及兩側微隆起，腹面較寬闊，平坦。胸鰭位置有四條游離的絲狀鰭條，因而得名四指馬鮁。一般長50厘米，以大條的為上品，最大尾的可以有40斤重。

馬友魚肉質鮮美細膩，脂肪厚度超過10% ，比一般魚類高，而且肉質像千層糕一樣層疊起來，醃製後會一層層分開，製作鹹魚的味道也很好。

馬友肉質細嫩、肥美、味香濃，並且只有中間那一根大骨，處理起來相當方便。它可切成魚扒煎封，亦可切件紅燒，涼瓜燜馬友頭更是天下之美味，也可用豉汁蒸，或用古法蒸，加入頭菜冬菇及肉絲便是一道美味又健康的菜式。馬友比一般海魚類含有的蛋白質、不飽和脂肪酸、DHA、牛磺酸和人體所需的微量元素鐵、磷、鈣都要多。購買馬友宜選魚眼透亮、鰓絲呈鮮紅色、鱗片完整、不易脫落、魚肉緊密結實為佳。

食譜。冬菇頭菜肉絲蒸馬友
常說以前的餸菜比現在的美味，並非誇張，只因食材真的沒有以前好。像今次做的古老菜，肉絲冬菇絲頭菜絲蒸馬友，聽起來就很簡單，但選料確實不容易。以前用少許冬菇已夠菇香，現在養殖的冬菇樣子漂亮，但菇味甚薄。

今次用的頭菜是朋友在順德特別送來給我，細細圓圓的，市面上已差不多絕迹，現在街市買到的只是大大厚片，只有鹹味，頭菜味欠奉。介紹大家到中國龍買靚頭菜，上環皇后大道中283號，電話3158 0203，找黃太。

材料（2至3人用）
1. 野生馬友 1至2厚片，兩公分厚，共重500克
2. 半肥瘦脢頭豬肉 80克，切絲，闊1/4公分，長3公分
3. 大厚冬菇 2隻，攝氏70度熱水浸2小時，榨出水分。一隻冬菇片三層，才切絲。
4. 靚頭菜 30克，切薄片，浸水1分鐘，榨水後切幼絲，比冬菇絲幼
5. 葱 15條，用葱刮刮葱白，葱綠留來蒸魚
6. 自家用蒸魚豉油* 3湯匙
7. 芥花籽油 4湯匙

醃豬肉絲材料：
1. 喜馬拉雅山粉紅岩鹽 少於1/8茶匙
2. 大孖雙璜生抽 3/4茶匙
3. 黃糖 少許
4. 生粉水 1/4茶匙生粉 + 1茶匙水
5. 芥花籽油 1茶匙

醃冬菇材料：
1. 喜馬拉雅山粉紅岩鹽 少許
2. 老薑汁 少於1/2茶匙
3. 生粉水 少於1/8茶匙生粉 + 1/2茶匙水
4. 芥花籽油 1/2茶匙

蒸魚豉油材料:
1. 芫荽水（隔去芫荽） 150克（用5棵中國芫荽，不要葉，只要根和莖，切短，用一量杯水中火煲芫荽水5分鐘至剩下150克芫荽水）
2. 大孖盆曬生抽 2湯匙
3. 大孖雙璜生抽 2湯匙
4. 越南60度魚露 1/2湯匙
5. 黃糖 1/2茶匙
6. 胡椒粉 少許

做法：
1. 冬菇用攝氏60度熱水浸2小時，榨去水分，每隻片成3層，切幼條，大小如豬肉絲。用少許鹽、薑汁醃冬菇絲，撈勻。加入生粉水，攪勻後再放入油，攪勻，醃冬菇30分鐘。
2. 半肥瘦豬肉切絲，加入鹽、生抽、糖，攪勻。放入生粉水，攪勻。放入油，攪勻，待用。
3. 頭菜切薄片，浸水1分鐘，榨去水分，切幼絲，比冬菇絲幼。
4. 肉絲、冬菇絲及頭菜絲撈勻，待用。
5. 清洗馬友，刮乾淨魚鱗，用乾淨毛巾嗦乾水，放入雪櫃待用。
6. 煲滾7量杯水。
7. 在一不鏽鋼碟放上葱綠，放上馬友魚，撒上肉絲、冬菇絲及頭菜絲。
8. 大火蒸魚10分鐘或至剛剛熟，將魚移至一上菜碟，撒上葱絲。
9. 燒熱4湯匙油，滾油灒在葱絲上面，將蒸魚豉油淋在葱絲上面，趁熱上菜。

1860年10 月英法聯軍向清廷發動了第二次鴉片戰爭，廣州民眾燒毀外國商館。英、法以恢復商館洋行為由，強迫兩廣總督租借沙面，「沙面」遂成為為英法兩國的租界地。自此以後，這小島就成為兩國的租界，而且成為了使館區，各國駐廣州領事或商業機構多設於此。而英國亦在這裡擁有駐軍權。而作為全國重點文物保護單位和廣州首批歷史文化保護區，沙面現有158 株古樹，大多逾300 年樹齡、亦擁有150多座20世紀初期歐式的古老建築群見證百年滄桑，至今，除了少數建築被改變利用外，仍舊保有原始的建築外觀與室內裝璜。沙面被劃為租界後，英法兩國於這細小的地區內，先從粵海關扣去稅銀八十八萬三千兩作為「基本建設費」，還公開拍賣地皮，除了建築洋衙門和教堂的地皮外，將剩下的七十多段土地以平均每段三千二百元公開拍賣，賺取了超過三十二萬元。拍賣土地後，區內便建起一座座洋房，用作洋衙門、教堂、銀行、企業、酒吧、醫院和住宅等用途。除此之外，英法在沙面實行殖民統治模式，具有很大的排斥色彩。他們在區內控制治安、行政等權力，並設有軍隊、警察等，可以在租界內逮捕中國公民，在現時的沙面街辦事處和市供銷社的地方，用作當年的操兵射擊場。除此之外，區內亦訂有不少具侮辱性的法規，如靠近白鵝潭沿江的大道不讓中國人行走，那馳名中外至今仍可看見的「華人與狗不得入內」牌子仍在。銀行、洋行等大門亦只供給洋人出入，在那裡工作的華工只能由橫門小門口出入。廣州市沙面露德聖母堂現為全國重點文物保護單位，位於沙面大街14號，建於1890年，佔地面積839.75平方米，奉露德聖母為主保，入口處仿哥德式，南邊建築一座聖母山，安放露德聖母像。教堂位於面積僅有66畝的法租界內，在當時廣州的法國教徒請求下，法國外交部將該地塊免費提供給教會用於興建教堂和教士的寓所，教堂主要為法國領事館的職員和在穗法國僑民服務。哥特風格的建築，該堂原為法國駐領事館的教徒過宗教生活而設，花園南邊建築一座聖母山，安放露德聖母像。露德聖母堂有一個尖塔，正面也是上中下三段式，現在建堂經過了重新的粉刷，和整個沙面建築群色彩統一。
