カワサキH2に次ぐスーパーチャージャーモデルのスケッチとこれに搭載されるという「バランス型S/Cエンジン」です。

コンセプトSC 01
Z1、Ninja H2／H2Rをはじめとする歴代カワサキ車の魅力を受け継いだ、カワサキが想像する遠くない未来のモーターサイクル。さらに進化したスーパーチャージドエンジンにより新たな走りの世界を切り拓きます。また優れたパフォーマンスに加え、形、色、音、感触など、感性に訴えるさまざまな部分を丁寧に作りこむことで、みなさまにココロ躍る体験をご提供します。
バランス型スーパーチャージドエンジン
2015年、Ninja H2／H2R用として製造を開始したスーパーチャージドエンジンですが、カワサキ製スーパーチャージドエンジンの最大の特長は、ガスタービン製造技術を中心に、川崎重工グループが持つさまざまな技術を集結した完全自社製であること。それにより、高性能、高効率を達成できることはもちろん、さらなる進化を目指し、新しい可能性にも積極的にチャレンジすることができるのです。
今回出品した「バランス型スーパーチャージドエンジン」ではガスタービン技術のフィードバックを用いた新しい機構として、吸入口の手前に電子制御フラップを設置。吸気の量や流れ方向を緻密にコントロールすることで圧縮効率や燃焼効率をいっそう高め、優れたパワーと燃費を実現します。ライダーのココロを躍らせるさらなる加速感と、未来社会に求められる優れた燃費性能を、かつてないレベルで両立させる新しいテクノロジーです。
Concept SC 01
Inspired by legendary Kawasaki machines like the Z1 and Ninja H2/H2R, this is Kawasaki's conception of a motorcycle in the not-too-distant future. Powered by an even more evolved supercharged engine, it will be the model to open a whole new world of riding experiences. In addition to superlative performance, aspects that please the senses – shape, colour, sound, texture – have all been carefully crafted to deliver exhilaration and pleasure to riders everywhere.
Balanced Superchaged Engine
The greatest merit of the supercharged engine that Kawasaki produced for the 2015 Ninja H2/H2R was that it was designed completely in-house using gas turbine technology and other combined technologies of the Kawasaki Group. Being able to call on group technologies allows Kawasaki to achieve not only high performance and high efficiency, but also to actively pursue new potential while aiming to advance current technology.
The Balanced Supercharged Engine exhibited at this show benefits from feedback from gas turbine technology to incorporate a new mechanism: a series of electronically controlled flaps at the supercharger entrance allows the volume of intake air and the airflow direction to be controlled. This enables compression and combustion efficiencies to be significantly increased, resulting in both superlative power and high fuel efficiency. This new technology will deliver even more thrilling acceleration while meeting society’s increasingly strict demands for superlative fuel economy – and achieve both at an unprecedented level.
