I never had a dream wedding dress. It actually took me ages to think about what kind of dress I wanted. But I knew immediately who I wanted to make my dress. Amore has been making dresses in Bangkok for over 25 years. Located in Sukhumvit Soi 39, Ms. Khem was THE dressmaker for all the stars in the 90’s when I started my career. She dressed me for all my red carpet events- she even made my prom dress. Fast forward to when I moved back to the US, we completely lost touch. Fast forward again to when I moved back to Thailand 2 years ago, I moved into soi 39 and there she was; Amore’s shop still in the exact same place. As soon as Mika proposed last October, I knew I had to go see her; At least to say hi and ask if she was still making dresses. Sure enough she remembered me AND remembered that I had asked her, once upon a time, to make my wedding dress.
