Nottingham gave the big thumbs up to Malaysian food this Summer 2011. At the annual Nottingham Food & Drink Festival, Ning's Chef Norman Musa demonstrated how to create Laksa and Kari Kapitan (Captain's Curry) in the Old Market Square, along with Maziah Omar of new local restaurant Nada Budaya. All part of the Malaysia Kitchen campaign, promoted by MATRADE.

Edited highlights of Malaysian Chef Norman Musa live at Chester Food, Drink & Lifestyle Festival 2011, together with his Ning pop-up restaurant. Norman cooked Kari Ikan, his signature Malay fish curry, and Kari Kapitan, a heritage Nyonya-style curry, in two cooking demonstrations.
