Continue my #Enprimeur tasting 2020 vintage! 🍷🥂🥳 Thanks James Suckling for his invitation to attend #BordeauxConfidential 2020, trying around 150 EP wines from renowned wineries from Bordeaux to forecast their potential! A nice chat with James & we all agree that 2018, 2019 & 2020 are all good vintages in Bordeaux. If u like Bordeaux wine, u should consider buying wines from these 3 vintages. My favorites at this tasting go to #ChateauPapeClement , #DomainedeChevalier & #ChateauSmithHautLafitte for both red & white wines, as well as #ChateauBeychevelle , #ChateauGiscours , #ChateauBaronPichonLongueville & #ChâteauLascombes for red wine. My tongue starts to get numb after tasting so many wines!🤪🥳🍷🥂 cheers!

Chateau Smith Haute Lafitte

感謝莊主Daniel Cathiard先生親自介绍。
這次酒莊參觀覺得最美的一家。有別於Medoc區石頭建造的城堡式建築，這家已有六百多年歷史的酒莊帶有一種歐陸農村的氣息，也有點像美國西部牛仔的風格。酒莊到處都看到莊主父妻多年來收藏的一些雕塑藝術品，整個參觀也像看展覽一樣！
莊主也分享了試酒區下他一個隠密不對外公開的私人酒窖，像特務的機關下別有洞天。
試了這裡的紅白酒，2018白分數很高，排位比Haut Brion Blanc還要高，好喝！
在酒莊旁莊主大女兒創辨的Caudalie Spa也很棒！

I have to say this is the prettiest chateau amongst all the chateaux I have visited in this trip. Completely different from the stone built style chateau in medoc area north of Bordeaux City, this 600+ year Chateau is more like a continental European farmhouse mixed with US Wild West Cowboy flavour. Sculptures collected by the couple Chateau owner over the years are displayed in many areas around the chateau and this visit feels more like walking into an art exhibition!
Chateau owner also share his not open to public private cellar. With the secret entrance hidden underneath the tasting room, it’s a whole new world with his private reserve wines!!
We got to taste both reds and whites but the focus was on their whites which I like more. Their 2018 scores very high across the board, even ranked higher than my other favourite Haut Brion Blanc, very enjoyable!!
The world known Caudalie Spa next to the Chateau founded by the Chateau owner’s first daughter is also very nice!

粉紅酒幾乎是普羅旺斯產區的代表，這天拜訪盧貝宏一帶的極小產區，Pierrevert，中文譯為「綠石」。

想在茫茫粉紅酒海中，超脫卓越，就得獨樹一格才行。

譬如：

在橡木桶內發酵陳放8個月！

Why not ?

我問：「怎麼會想讓粉紅酒過桶呢？」
酒莊：「妳知道波爾多Château Smith Haut Lafitte，有款過桶的粉紅酒嗎？」
