Waking up to a call of my client’s insurance application got postponed due to health condition definitely not the best way to start my week.
But I guess, the moment I chose this career I should’ve already accepted that:
1. Insurance is never a priority (for most people).
2. When we need insurance, we are usually not perfectly fit for it anymore.
3. We think we are healthy just because no treatment/medication needed (yet).
Truth is..
1. Insurance is the thing that can protect your priorities.
2. Insurance is better 2 years earlier, than 2 days late, to avoid fail application or even fail claim.
3. There’s so many condition where no medication/treatment needed, that can be a major exclusion in your coverage.
Well… It is my responsibility to race against the time and risk; To share on the importance of insurance, and get people around me (including YOU) insured adequately, before shits happened.

哈佛知識分享: 做生意，七大困難選擇!
七條策略問題 Seven Strategy Question《第三: 追數? 應該要追邊條數? 》
如果我問你，你盤生意有邊三個數字要追，你會答我邊三條數呢?
Business is about making tough choices. 上兩集就講咗 Who is your primary customer? ... 同埋公司股東、顧客、員工，邊個行先?
今集我會同你探討第三個策略問題: What critical performance variables are you tracking? 追數? 你應該追邊幾條數?
根據哈佛教授 Bob Simons 呢本書 Seven Strategy Questions，佢話好多公司都可能有唔同嘅 kpi (key performance indicators)， 唔同嘅 balance scorecard (平衡計分卡)， 有時太多 measurements 反而令到公司 失去咗 focus.
"Everybody watches what the boss watches." 如果搵支槍指呀個老闆你，要講三個數字， 如果呢三個數字交唔到，你未來嘅發展策略就會失敗， 咁係邊三個數字呢?
If you have ten priorities, you have no priorty. It's a tough choice, 其他所有嘢都係次要 ，唔係唔量度，不過只係話有邊三個數字係最重要呢?
可能係你嘅營業額、可能係你嘅分店數目、可能係你嘅顧客滿意程度、 可能係你線下嘅agent數目、可能係你嘅利潤，whatever it is, 你全公司同事們知唔知呢?
唔好講人，講我自己。我每朝早十點鐘公司開早會都只係提住三個數字:
(1) 今年基金派息派唔派到六七八厘?
(2) 今年基金連NAV (淨資產)升值，回報能唔能夠做到年回報10%?
(3) 今年每季集資能唔能夠集到六千萬港幣?
If yes yes yes, 我哋就係 on track to 長遠擁有全香港1%街舖，即係約300億港幣。 因為我幫人客賺到錢，錢自然會來。
If no no no, 大鑊! 我即刻要將全公司精力專注做返好呢三條數，否則我哋長遠嘅策略就做唔到。 我只係一個普通炒家!
由朝到晚，我們所有其他集資、入貨、招租、出貨、售後服務， 都係為咗要做到以上三條數， 咁長遠策略、目標就會達到。
你呢? 如果我問你同事們，知唔知公司有邊幾條數要追， 佢哋答唔答到呢? 大家都清晰嘅，恭喜你! 大家的力同一條心向目標邁進。但如果大家四方八面咁走，試問公司又點樣一條心做到條數呢?
