The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games will come to a close tonight.

Ten Team Singapore Paralympians competed at the Games, of whom four were debutants. All have had a commendable campaign. Steve Tee and para-cycling partner Ang Kee Meng set two Personal Bests. Toh Wei Soong achieved Personal Best and National Records in the pool for two events. Muhd Diroy broke his own National Record and clocked a Personal Best at the Men’s Shot Put F40. Yip Pin Xiu successfully defended her Gold medals in both her events.

Thank you all for inspiring Singaporeans with your grit, passion and never-say-die spirit, especially during these tough times. May this experience spur us all on to be better and stronger! – LHL

We are off to a golden start at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games! Congratulations to Yip Pin Xiu for defending her gold medal in the Women’s 100m Backstroke S2, adding to her medal haul from past Games. Pin Xiu, Singapore is proud of you, and you inspire all of us!

Congratulations too to swimmer Sophie Soon on her Paralympic debut. Ang Mo Kio resident Steve Tee also made his debut, and I am delighted to see that he has set a Personal Best in his event with his para-cycling partner Ang Kee Meng.

Looking forward to seeing our other Team Singapore athletes in action at the Games. All the best to #OneTeamSG! 🇸🇬 – LHL

Ikon dan atlet kebanggaan kita semua, Pocket Rocket Man Malaysia, Azizulhasni Awang adalah penanda aras baharu bukan sahaja terhadap sukan berbasikal, malah terhadap karier sukan atlet profesional dan belia negara kita.

Kejayaan beliau menjadi salah satu faktor penyumbang kepada penyertaan yang banyak dalam Junior Cycling Malaysia (JCM).

Seramai 7,264 atlet kayuh basikal menyertai JCM pada tahun lepas. Hasil kerja keras semua, ia meningkat sebanyak 20% berbanding tahun 2018.

Melalui JCM 2019, kita berjaya anjurkan 9 Kejohanan Kriterium, 4 Kejohanan Lumba Lebuhraya, 3 Kejohanan Trek dan 2 Kejohanan Ujian Masa Perseorangan.

Bukan setakat itu, kita juga wujudkan 16 Klinik Berbasikal, 2 Klinik BMX dan 1 Klinik Trek.

Semua ini adalah untuk para atlet kita mengembangkan potensi dan mengasah bakat mereka.

Daripada seluruh program yang disebutkan, kita telah berjaya menghantar 54 atlet remaja untuk menyertai program pendedahan antarabangsa di luar negara.

Ini penting untuk memastikan atlet muda kita menerima pendedahan dan latihan bertaraf dunia.

Visi KBS adalah untuk melahirkan lebih ramai Pocket Rocket Man negara.
