Jingle bell, jingle bell, here’s a Christmas Case!🎄✨
I really enjoy treating this patient as she is super cheerful and love to smile a lot. Her main concern is her shortened dental crown height, but what caught my eye is the buccal corridor & gingival height (“gummy smile”). Wanting to give her a smile as bright as her personality, we started our smile makeover journey!🤩

If you noticed, there is an existing Porcelain-fused-metal crown on the 14. Patient wasn’t ready for ceramic veneers, hence we planned for composite veneers on the 15, 13-25.
How about the 14? Yes we could’ve place composite or ceramic veneer over the PFM crown but...will it last? Is it necessary? Who makes the decision? In my opinion, it is both the dentist AND the patient. After discussing with the patient, we decided to KIV for future treatment on 14 after the veneer placement. After all, we have to bear in mind that the set of teeth belongs to the patient and the patient’s decision matters as much.
After laser gingivectomy was done, we then proceed with 9-units composite veneers with injection molding technique with GC G-aenial Universal Injectable Composite (Shade A1), Zhermack clear silicone template , and minor touch ups with @dental2u composite instruments.
I’m really happy that we’re able to enhance the smile aesthetic in this case, and patient can finally have a set of teeth that matches her bright personality (look at how happy she smile!😍) Guess she will really have a “White” Christmas this year!🎄✨😂
