Today, I’m gonna share a very horribly sad story…please take note that this is a true story! 😢
Once upon a day, my sister Dr Auntie had a phone call from her colleague at work. They started their conversation talking about you know, what else if not the brilliant British weather. And then the topic led to our new house #TheOldForgeCottage 🏡 And all of a sudden…she said something so so so so unbelievably shocking‼️
She said “I have a nephew The Omar Mukhtar who is turning 15 soon…and he is my BEST FRIEND⁉️”😱
Best friend? Best friend?? For real??? What about me then?? If he is her best friend then what happened to our best-bester-bestest-friendship? 💔
…and just like that, I am officially no longer her best friend! 😭😭
The end…ok done! I hope that you are all entertained reading my real life sob story. Thank you for sparing your time to read my story. Hopefully you don’t regret spending a few minutes of your precious time here. I think I will now write a book and publish it…what do you think? 😜🤪
Bored,
Mrs Mom

p/s: I wrote this silly story while sitting next to my dear sister @drauntie.uk patiently waiting for her working on her laptop while Mr Dad was busy monitoring the work in progress in our kitchen…
Notes: That sweetie smiley princess on the right is my darling sister @drauntie.uk and that sour pouty patootie on the left is none other than my humble self!

A few months ago when @theomarmukhtar got a double golden book entry for his excellent performance at school, we asked him what cake he wants to celebrate his outstanding achievements. I can still remember he instantaneously replied “Rainbow Cake”! Obviously I was surprised and asked him again to make sure that my 14 year old son really wanted a rainbow cake to celebrate his achievements. And without hesitation he confirmed “Yes, I want a rainbow cake!!” So Mr Dad went ahead and bought him the rainbow cake that he claimed that he ‘wants’. He only ate a slice of the cake and the rest was joyously enjoyed by his little brother and sister - Fatimah and Ali. I guess I do not need to explain further why he chose the cake. My selfless eldest son @theomarmukhtar has always put other people first before himself. Even to celebrate his achievements he still chose a cake that Fatimah and Ali would be enjoying more than him - bless him!
Last Friday, 2nd July was Ali’s 6th birthday. As you know, Ali’s been claiming that he is Fatimah’s twin and has been sharing Fatimah’s birthday ever since. So for his 6th birthday when Mr Dad asked Ali what cake he wants for his birthday, he secretly requested Mr Dad to surprise him with any cake but make sure the colour is pink cos whenever it’s his birthday it means that it will be Fatimah’s half birthday too and vice versa. So if you asked how close Fatimah and Ali are…well I can assure you that they are just like other normal siblings - they do fight and make up. But I guess there’s no need to prove how much they love one another cos at the end of the day, actions speak louder than words. And for this, I owe my biggest thank you to my #LuckyNumber1 @theomarmukhtar for setting the best example for your little brother and sister to follow.
May The Almighty protect all of our children’s hearts and make them love one another till their last breath and protect them all from the evil eye…
Blessed,
Mrs Mom - a mother blessed with 3 amazing children...sharing parenthood experience!

Today has not only been a super duper busy day, but a fruitful day with multiple blessings! With the blessings of Allah, Mrs Mom and Mr Dad, combined with the endless prayers from my family, and each and every one of you supportive people, my busy day bloomed into a perfectly blessed day. I can’t possibly thank Allah enough as I feel so small compared to the grand blessings He has showered upon me.
Alhamdulillah, both my French and my Latin test went smoothly. And not only that, the Biology project which I have been working on for the whole week turned into an outstanding presentation which has earned me my second entry into the legendary Golden Book this term! But the highlight of the day was that I earned not just a single entry into the Golden Book, but a double entry - one for my Biology project and another one surprise!
Now, history has been repeated. When I first joined KES way back in 2018, I was blessed with my first double Golden Book Entry in December 2018. Yes, can you imagine my very first year in KES and my very first entry into the Golden Book? I was honoured with not just one, but I got my name signed into the Golden Book twice for the first time. And today, Thursday 10th December 2020, I was again blessed with a double entry into the Liber Aureus - the Latin for 'Golden Book'. However, let the second Golden Book entry remain a mystery for now. But don’t worry, I promise that I will reveal the surprise very soon!
For now, allow me to take the opportunity to celebrate this blessed day by asking nothing from The Almighty for myself, but to put my hands together for each and every one of you amazing people who have been supporting me and praying for me tirelessly. May The Almighty shower His countless blessings upon you, your family, and your children. May He send all the happiness in the world your way! And as for me, I wish that we can all keep inspiring one another towards goodness…
Forever blessed,
O. Mukhtar O. Mukhlis
