🔴MY REVIEW: I really liked this set. There are such a great way to smell the different fragrances. Well, Jo Malone has become my favorite fragrance. All of the scents were really nice. It is difficult to choose which perfume is the best, because each one has a unique smell. This size of 9ml is definitely suitable for travel and to carry in purse for whenever. English Pear & Freesia Cologne, it’s one of my favorite fragrances, this’s an intoxicating scent reminding me of summers in England countryside (Ribble Valley, Lancashire). It lasts all day and smells wonderful. Another scent I want to mention is Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne. I have been wearing it as my daily cologne for about two weeks. It’s a light citrus that is pleasant but not obstrusive. A great daytime fragrance. Love it. Definitely recommend this COLOGNE COLLECTION SET.

🔴MY REVIEW: Smells wonderful. I always get so many compliments when I wear this cologne and it’s not overpowering. It’s light and airy with a pleasant scent. Love this brand colognes. They are subtle yet long lasting. Definitely recommend.

🔴MY REVIEW: The layers of scent are very summery, fresh and clean. This’s my new favorite scent. I can say with complete certainty, Jo Malone is a classy brand. It lasts all day, without being offensive in the late afternoon. Highly recommend.

Happy turning 9 today, my dear Angel!

It's been a great year with you and I'm very heartened to see how you've taken on more responsibilities both in school and at home. You would arm yourself with a whistle, gather your troop (aka Meimei and Didi) and delegate duties to each of them as you work together to help out with the household chores. You love reading as always and it's good to see how you never reject an opportunity to pick up a new book to read.

Seeing how you are motivated to do your homework and the stack of past year papers you do out of your own accord, I am thankful to have you as my firstborn who inspires the siblings to work hard and play hard too. You are also an independent child who understands Mama's needs and pushes yourself to achieve things that other kids at your age might not, for instance you were the one who assured me that you could walk home on your own after just the first day of transferring to your new school, and have been doing so for the past year.

Of course, there is the occasional backtalking and tantrums which I guess is your way of getting the attention that you have been sorely deprived of at times. You are so good at reasoning that it makes me feel at a loss at times! Being fiercely stubborn is also a trait that runs in our family but I can see how you've mellowed a little this year and is now better able to listen, accept and reflect. You are still a very determined person and at times a perfectionist too. I know, being the eldest isn't easy and you sometimes argue that you are the middle one in the family because Papa and Mama are older than you and thus, you are not the eldest. It's so easy for me to forget how you need me too and that in more ways than one, you are still my baby girl.

I love you so much, my dear. It's your special day and I hope you know how special you are to me, not just today but every day. Thank you for being the angel in my life who guides me and reminds me to be strong, kind and hopeful always.

I always look forward to school holidays. Even though having three kids with me 24/7 can drive me nuts on some days - not that they don't when they come home on school days - I love the fact that we get to sleep in late, have brunch instead of early breakfast, go for late night shows and supper, be free to do anything in the day and evening, explore new places and see new sights, find time to catch up with friends and family, and just do things that bond us closer together.

I used to be the kind of mum who would try to bring the kids out to explore almost every day. Yup, not sure where that energy came from but I just wanted to bring them out to museums, Science Centre, kids' events, movies, Sentosa, Universal Studios, zoos and anywhere that promised a day of fun. Over the years, I've mellowed a little or perhaps, just grown wiser (and more tired) with age.

We don't need to keep ourselves occupied every second just to make the holidays count. We don't need to go to holiday programs or kids events because there are just too many of them. We don't need to do a lot or busy ourselves till we get exhausted in order to feel that we are not wasting the precious, free time we have. On the contrary, spending some of our days in the comfort of our happy home, doing nothing much but just enjoying each other's company, is something that I cherish so much more now. In June's "Happiness is...", it's about making the most of the holidays.
