ITRI has established a significant pilot production base at its Southern Region Campus to help Taiwan’s industry expedite the development of the additive manufacturing technology.

The application of 3D printing extends from small delicate kits like jewelries, to industrial use, such as aviation and automobile parts, or bio-materials. In recent years, ITRI has helped our industrial partners produce LED light fixtures, optical lens, automobile molding tools, and dental roots with the 3D printing technology. The 3D metal laser printer developed by ITRI is 50% cheaper than the models sourced from overseas. In the meantime, we’ve also developed the 3D printing materials by ourselves. ITRI has established a significant pilot production base at its Southern Region Campus to help Taiwan’s industry expedite the development of the additive manufacturing technology.
