咦？蘇格蘭獨立？那英國是什麼？
英國的正式國名是「大不列顛與北愛爾蘭聯合王國」(The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)，常簡稱為聯合王國 (UK) 或不列顛 (Britain)，在此一架構下又包括了四個國家，分別是蘇格蘭 (Scots)、威爾斯 (Welsh)、北愛爾蘭 (Northern Irish)和英格蘭 (England)。
蘇格蘭在外交、軍事、金融、總體經濟政策上受英國政府及國會管轄，但對於內部的立法、行政上則擁有高度自治權，基於歷史地理文化及政經條件的差異、對於英國脫離歐盟的立場不同，再加上新冠疫情的影響，不同民調都顯示目前蘇格蘭人民獨立的高度意願。
